Just as an aside anyone who says the shows sliders don't works it's because they don't want them to work. Unlike maddens of the past you tweak a slider in the show the results will be almost instantaneous.

What is your definition of work? Because if it is the normal definition if the word, then MLB the show's sliders do not "work".

In Madden if I put the accuracy slider to 100 and have a QB with a 99 medium throw accuracy for example, he is going to complete nearly every medium pass he throws especially if the WR is any good at all.

In NBA 2k, if I put the 3 point slider up to 100 and put a players 3pt shot rating up to 99, he will make every 3 point shot I take with him.

In MLB the show, if I set every user slider to 100, and set every cpu slider to 0, and make some of my hitters 99s, it is no easier to get hits then it is if I don't mess with the sliders and ratings at all.

So no the sliders in MLB the show most certainly do not "work".

Well if you do that make sure you make the pitcher throw everything down the middle too. Its baseball. You can square up a ball and make an out, or do you believe those things don't happen.

Second, like everything else in this new generation of gameplay. I don't believe this at all. Matter of fact, start a game, stream it, set the game up this exact way and if you really struggle as bad as you say I will donate $20 to your stream.

I can speak for others, i been to those tournaments and play for cash sites, i been playing madden mucb longer than u have. I know a lot of people here and elsewhere who feel the sameway i do. So miss me with that crap plz. Online has been in the crapper due to this type of gameplay behavior moreso than the gameay being shoddy.

Go pick up an old system and grab you some NfL blitz to play bruh

I feel some people are way too harsh this year, some of you are way to harsh every year and not just with madden, yes some of us notice your trends and im not talking to the two i quoted but to ever fits in with what im saying.. I think people don't realize what developers of a Football game are trying to do here..it's not college ball neither..this is NFL and its a whole different beast in terms of AI Logic,etc ...and because developers are trying their best to get 22 players simultaneously react and replicate in a human manner, that minic players that really have to be intelligent to even play at the NFL level .that some times..just maybe, some things will get fudged or messed up. From a person that has been gaming for many years..I've been in that era of floppy disk based game and cartridge based games where updates, patches,etc were only in your dreams ...I guess my point is, while you guys are most definitely entitled to your opinion... I just wanted to say that if you are truly tired of Madden and think none of this year's improvements are even worth a little forgiveness of mishaps then why do you keep coming around year after year? or why are you even reading this reply, should'nt you be long gone by now? ..and TRUST ME,...you cannot NAME one game that does not have some sort of flaw or bug or stupid aspect of the game that pisses off a small bunch of finicky gamers...and if you can name one game, let us hear it and if you can...let me say this, that it will be far less than even the 1% range. You guys hating on this year's gameare most definitely minority here dude, does that even make you rethink how you guys are acting? That most others are not so detrimental to some mistakes or bugs in a video game, let alone, this has to be the biggest improvement probably in a decade for Madden that maybe, just maybe they should get a little leeway from even the most finicky of players of sports video games? I really think they do deserve even more forgiveness because the positives and improvements this year far far far out weigh the negatives that this game has, that ALL GAMES HAVE. I guess my point is...sh1*t happens dude, nothing in life is perfect, nothing ever will be but what i found in my 41 years in life that i hold most valuable to my heart these days is to enjoy the good & positives in people, in things and not be so hung up on the negative things in people, in things or in this case, video games and man..let me just say its not only a game changer in playing games but a life changer..let go of negativity, it does nothing but make life harder than it needs to be..in this case..it makes gaming suck..it ruins it, trust me but of course you are entitled to your opinion..just trying to give some of you high strung finicky gamers a new lease on gaming or maybe life.

Lol. Ah, I miss the old days when 'casual' gamers didn't exist. See, back in the day, not everyone had extra cash to throw away on any video game. Only people who LOVED football bought madden, or NFL game day, or NFL 2k. And, they were all disappointed by the lack of sim quality. Some games, more so than others. But, back in the day, u were either a street fighter guy (I miss some good fighting games, when the hell is tekken coming to next gen?? We gotta put up with this killer instinct garbage? How did THAT trash make it to next gen? But, I digress), a halo guy, OR a sports gaming junkie. Lol. Now, obviously u had overlap, but in the end, really, any sports game that bears the real NFL logo and puts 11 on 11 teams out there that are competing for the super bowl has a, dare I say, obligation to create a sim of that sport. That's the whole point. U don't need to create a 'sim' of halo, because halo doesn't exist. Lol. But, in the end, at this point in gaming, with the power of these consoles, and size of the markets, and diversity of the consumer base, I could see where all sports game should have (and, would benefit greatly from) a dedicated mode to sim and a dedicated mode to arcade. Madden needs to step up on this, and really, with what I've seen so far, I really think it's a matter of tweaking sliders to get arcade. Crank up broken tackles, fumbles, and interceptions, and have a blast!! They need to add a dedicated online playlist for this, as well, though to separate the groups of players. And, I'll even admit, as much of a hardcore sim sports guy as I am (especially, when it comes to football), I could see wanting to play online with an arcade feel as a change of pace. And, depending on what I see from this year's game, I may even think about upping broken tackles a tad to see even more dynamic plays. I tell u what, in nba 2k, I absolutely MUST increase the Dunk slider!! And, attempt dunk in the paint!!! My god, there's nothing worse than seeing shaq with ball underneath the rim and going up for a gd hook shot!!!! Lol

So back on topic....

Its been long overdue for madden to get where its at now with gameplay after yrs of suffereing due to them catering to the freestyle crowd. Authentic gameplay first, all other modes should come second imo. Too much time goes into modes that dont count toward the 'base game' itself. I wasn't attacking anybody. I said some "sim" players not all. If NBA 2k can cater to everybody there is no damn good reason why madden can't too.

I can agree the game is better, but seeing cole beasley making agresive one handed catches over any cb infront of him and seeing players beeing ruled down when no defender touches them is something to be concerned dont you think?
