Im surprised at how good Madden is this year, most of my major problems were addressed and fixed. No more robo qb, they cpu qb will challenge you down the field, and the running game is the best yet. A good combination of long runs and getting stuffed in the backfield

The problem is the actual majority doesn't all play like you. What part of that do you not get.

Oh and only a loud MINORITY of the community wants sim only. The majority wants to play according to OUR OWN definition of fun NOT YOURS.

Since you keep repeating yourself and wont let it go, i'll give you another opportunity to say it over again.

1) Madden has catered to the gameplay style you like for only 15+ years. Heaven for bid you get one year hinging more towards realism than the rest.

2) No one will disagree options are bad, yet first and foremost the game should represent the sport it is modeled after. Resources should be placed front and center on creating the best representation of the NFL, they should NOT be divided up to make sure all possible types of players get the gameplay they want. Perfect one intended delivery first!

3) I highly doubt its just a "loud minority", youtube, madden forums, here on OS, basically everywhere has condemned madden for failing to produce a sim sport title. Hell EA's "worse company" stigma basically started from madden and later enveloped mut & pay to win features, but the catalyst was madden failing to live up to expectations.

I'm sorry but your complaints will generally fall on deaf ears around here because we've been subjected to your "casual" play without any options much MUCH longer than you have.

First of all I like madden this year the way it is for the most part. Second of all you are also repeating yourself and also ignoring what I said. If 2k sports can make a game that caters to multiple playstyles then why can't EA sports? Exactly. I have not heard one damn reason why.

I gotta agree w this post. This is coming from a sim guy, this is the best madden I've ever played and arguably the best football game I've ever played period. There's always room for improvement but u guys are definitely on the right path. The wr/db interactions and penalties change the way I play this game. It's great to have to strategize for the cpu again. Playing field position and trying to take calculated shots feels great. I see people complaining about defense but I'm playing all pro and the only slider I've moved is run blocking for myself and the cpu to 52. Everything else is at default and working great. I play as the bears which is not a good defense but there are times where I lock teams down and tones where I get torched as it should be. People need to learn down and distance and learn what an offense is trying to do. It's about more than just calling a coverage and saying it should work because of ratings. This game represents football pretty damn good if u ask me. I've been skeptical of madden for years up until this year. Great job ea. Please don't change anything. Just work on next year game after u all fix these franchise bugs

I don't see the issue of sim only. This is what the community has fought for. I remember Madden 08. lol, time to move on.

This is actually pretty unfair.

What we've fought for is an equal game that includes sim options for those of us who want it. The first thing we've always said is just give us options.

It's incredibly narrowminded and contradictory to all of a sudden do a complete 180 and tell others that just because we haven't gotten the game we've wanted for years those who've enjoyed it for different reasons over the years no longer can.


I'm kind of disappointed with some of the responses to him to be honest. As a site we've always asked for equality, not totality, yet people are thumbing their nose at him because he doesn't play the game the way we like to.


I don't at all agree with the way he wants to play the game at all but don't think it's fair to take away his right to want to play it the way he wants to.

I agree, Lol,and no replies for above. I remember the madden 06-08's where people like that would throw hail mary's up all day and win games. or run around with Vick in the back and cost me games online because I would play the game the way it needs to be played. Those days are hopefully over. I'll say it again, this is where football is at. The sim standard. Now that I know what this original poster's intentions were for this forum..I agree now. EA DON'T CHANGE A THING. just patch here and there synchronize the commentary, fix a few issues and if possible patch the aesthetics and I'm on my way, and out of the forums;chilling with three tacos and tall one. lol

Yea, I'm pretty sure someone brought this up earlier, but I want to bring it up again anyways. This site is Operation Sports, not Operation Sim Sports. Yea 99%, probably, of this site wants sim games but there are others that don't care for it and are on this site for rosters (OSFM), reviews, interaction with others, etc. There are multiple styles of playing games: arcade, sim, a mixture of both, etc. Like it has been just go the 2K route and give us a sim, casual and other option for playing.

Yep...I have always said the sim community is the minority. And the ratio for arcade to sim is probably somewhere around 5:1. And you can't use these forums as a measuring stick because right now there are 416 people on the Madden forum, which accounts for less .01% of Madden's sales of 5 million, which is probably a ton less than what they actually sold.
