I can 100% honestly say that this is one of the best Maddens I've ever played, and I've been playing since Madden 2005.

The run game is magnificent, the movement feels realistic, the A.I. plays the way they should. Just an amazing job with this one man. The ONLY thing I would want changed if changes to happen, would be to tone down the aggressive catching a tad bit.....especially for receivers who do not have high ratings.

The way the defense plays is excellent and it requires a lot of patience and strategy to play defense this year. The way it should be. I'm saying this as a person who plays mostly online. I've put in over 50 online H2H games so far(MUT & Ranked) and the game plays great in those arenas too.

I'm seeing a lot of people complaining about the lack of defense or the player movement or OP catches. Do not cave in EA. Do not end up like 2K who brought out a final patch that destroyed a really good game in NBA 2K15.

You guys are winning right now. People will complain until they learn how to properly play the game. Lots of the top guys in MUT last year can't stand the game this year. That's ok. They will live.

Madden 16 could possibly go down as the greatest Madden ever if you guys stand your ground and only tune what REALLLLLLLY needs to be tuned.

Madden 16 is ' ok ' in my view. Not great and not as terrible as past Maddens. I would say they are now where they should have been about 7 or 8 years ago.

Rating still dont matter. Saw a video with a 300+ O lineman as a TE that smoked a LB on a passing route. This lineman ran a crisp route and actually pulled away from the LB. Then he makes the catch and while having full momentum is put on his back by a CB... Nothing matters. The outcome is the outcome because the game decides that is what is going to happen and nothing is taken into account.

Until ratings matter and outcomes are based on those ratings and momentum / direction etc. I cannot say Madden is more than just ' ok '. It plays an ok game of football and that is about it. To many problems remain and many of which will never be fixed until some major work is done under the hood.

Not sure where you get ratings don't matter. They matter more in this version than ever before.

I don't put a lot of stock in videos with unknown settings who set up unrealistic settings, and then act as if the world is ending when they get unrealistic results.

I literally played two games vs Andrew Luck on default all-pro Cardinals and Seahawks. If someone legit says ratings don't matter its because they a.) don't want them to matter or b.) play the game in a way that negates them either purposely or because that is how they always play madden.

In those two games the difference between Kam Chancellor and Tony Jefferson was painfully obvious.

Im sorry I disagree with you. Ratings dont matter. I play with the lions and Stafford was injured in the 1Q. Orlovsky came in and lit up the Miami D.

As a Lions fan......you know how unrealistic this is. No way in HELL he goes 18-20. Ever! Maybe all the other ratings matter but I know Qb ratings dont mean anything nor do WR ratings because all my WR's are able to make aggressive catches like calvin. Maybe this is because I play on all-pro. who knows...

So that 320 lb lineman running a route as crisp as an every day WR or TE and smoking the coverage at the same time is ok? That is plain as day that ratings hold no water.

It throws a wrench into everything. What that tells us is that the game is being controlled from a specific setup and the game assumes certain conditions. Ratings dont matter because as I said the outcome is what the game decides and not what the ratings decide.

Agreed. This is an issue for people who are desperate to find issues on field. Doing whatever they can to manipulate the game to prove some point.

Again if you manipulate the game to make unrealistic scenarios why would you be surprised at unrealistic results? Not to mention there's always some behind the scenes shenanigans in those videos when it comes to game settings.

If you want to bandy about the ratings don't matter banner that's fine, but it's clear as day when actually playing the game and not going on a bug hunting or YouTube celebrity mission, that they clearly do.

"Ratings don't matter" is just completely false and has been completely false for a long time.

As others have said, ratings differentiation is even more obvious now than any other previous version of the game.

Man, i dont play the game to find bad things or whatever i agree with both sides here and woud love to see the stream tho. I have been noticing online that the superman tackles are back, players morphing or speed boosting to make play they oth ed rwise ahouldnt have. I feel the focus and attention is there with this game, i just think they forgot about the nagging issues that would help keep this game in a league of its own.

It sucks seeing a DT being blocked 5yds away and dive at your ankles and on screen he doesnt even touch you but you fall as if you were tackled anyway.

I really don't understand this, ratings matter more then ever. The disparity with good qbs and bad qbs is the best it's ever been. I played some games with the steelers and Big ben played like big ben. I changed things up and used the bills and EJ manual played well, like EJ and not the one that showed up yesterday in preseason, but the one that who lost his starting job because he couldn't throw straight. These guys have their strengths and weaknesses that have to be taken into account. I never had to do that in previous maddens, I finally have to care about who my qb is and have a decent backup.

So far, I agree. This game is nice as hell so far. I can't go GOAT just yet because PS2 Maddens brought so much imo. But this game is up there. If they fix franchise mode and also the super sim when playing as a player, it could possibly go down as the best.

I agree don't change anything. I don't even want to see aggressive chance tuned. It's not much of a problem on my end.
