Read this thread to see some reasons why we won't get Custom draft classes.
The simple reason is that EA and the team doing the game are choosing not to do it. I don't need a message from a dev on a forum or on Twitter to know this. Bottom line is do you have it or you don't? The excuses as to why not are not valid because it was all based around a creative decision.

NBA 2K14 did the same thing and guess what? They QUICKLY responded to the community and made the best basketball game ever the next year with the deepest "franchise" mode I've ever seen, especially integrating the draft class editing and tracking rookies in their final years of college through social media messages talking about their games and stat lines. Simple genius!

Not saying Madden should copy them, but for them to actually go back to their roots a bit. Ain't like they don't have the money to make it happen since we have provided much support all these years.

Online CFM needs to be restrictive, but offline should not be like that. The best thing that EA could have done would have been to CFM as online only and just have a regular franchise mode for offline players. Now, the biggest problem with Madden (and even FIFA) is that the career modes are truly stupid and here is why I feel that way. When you offer coach and owner career modes, there should ALWAYS be an option to not have to control any players and allow for the game to play seamlessly on its own with the player being able to step in at any time to make key decisions on plays to run.

Players attracted to those modes do not want to play the games directly, they want to influence them with decisions made prior to the game and during key moments in the game. Madden and FIFA are amazing games to watch and you can still be able to play it the old fashioned way, but many want the option to feel truly like a coach and owner, not play it as a player (that's what the player mode is for). I know, beating a dead horse, but it is what it is.

While I agree that we gamers should have options. I disagree that cfm/franchise players want to coach or own instead of play. Most of the community who play CFM want to own coach and play. And they want to do it inside of franchise/cfm. player mode is a very different experience since you create 1 player and you play only with that player and sim the off or def. anyways you get my point I guess. What they need to do is coach mode. Be a real coach mode. And make offline cfm editable with more options. But keep the options that we have. Be an owner and still be able to play the game normally.

That's my point, bro, OPTIONS! It's all about playing the game multiple ways instead of taking options away. Why can't I spectate a coach or owner mode game? Why do I have to play it one way in Offline CFM? The ability was in previous games and just like they did with NHL 15 and put a game with very little options to play it, they are now making corrections.

Bro, it is 2015 and this is like the 3rd or 4th next gen Madden game and the changes have been solely on animations, graphics (which already looked incredible in 15), and some menu changes. Offline CFM should be greatly enhanced by now given the money this game makes and simple customization options that players want. Sorry, you can only keep telling the community you will get to something so many times, especially when it's around the 3rd next gen game.

          Inexcusable at this point.

I agree with you. The game should let us have all the options so we can play the way we want. Its ok to not allow edit roster if i`m doing a H2H but offline, if i want to edit all my players 99 and win the SB every time the game should allow me to do that.

Hopefully we get what we want soon.

                  back on topic.

If the patch is finished from EA end, we should be able to get the Patch list. They already know what they "fixed" it.

This was up before. But they won't publish the patch notes because of the off-chance the patch is rejected by first-party and they have to fix something / kick a can down the road that would just make people angry.

They will most likely release patch notes when the thing is ready for us to download and no sooner than that.

It was on the first page of this thread.

Not until it gets approved. This is standard procedure.

Yep, a few years back they made the mistake of releasing the notes and the patch did get rejected and the meltdown was Chernobyl-esque. They were getting called every name in the book, people were getting pink named here right and left.

Needless to say, they learned their lesson.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Free patches and paid DLC are not the same thing. I know Driveclub has not had 22 free title updates - that sounds much more like the total amount of DLC in that game.

Driveclub is a first-party game - it is published by Sony Computer Entertainment - so that may affect if they / how much they have to pay for title updates in this scenario.

Games that are huge in player base - much bigger than Madden, I'm talking GTA V, Minecraft, Call Of Duty, and Battlefield - may also have special arrangements with the first parties regarding updates for these games, because these games are literally system sellers, much moreso than even Madden is at this point.

It also comes out once per year like clockwork.

How often do the other games come out? Once every 3, 4, 5 years?

Need to look at things in perspective.
