Yeah, the only correlation to the XP model is that since it's the only way of progressing a player, it's not like if these LT's go out in Year 2 (if they stay a starter) and miraculously not give up a bunch of sacks, they won't get their high PBK rating back because the XP system doesn't support that type of behavior. It's the elephant in the room of the sad state of progression/regression in this series, but for now we should be focused on this issue in this thread in the form it's presented to us.
If they tweaked their sim algorithms to allow more sacks by the line as a whole, this may not cause nearly as much of an uproar. That or decrease the regression penalty for leading the league in sacks given up; those seem to be the only real fixes that EA could support.
I didn't think the tuner affected offline CFM and was more of an online tuner, is that not the case? I guess I'm just trying to figure out if that's more of a placebo thing. I just say that because that post brought up QB awareness drops, but CM tested QB awareness over the course of 30 years and IMO it didn't seem like that big of a discrepancy. So I'm not sure if the T regression thing being better without the tuner was just the result of one lucky sim.
