Yeah, the only correlation to the XP model is that since it's the only way of progressing a player, it's not like if these LT's go out in Year 2 (if they stay a starter) and miraculously not give up a bunch of sacks, they won't get their high PBK rating back because the XP system doesn't support that type of behavior. It's the elephant in the room of the sad state of progression/regression in this series, but for now we should be focused on this issue in this thread in the form it's presented to us.

If they tweaked their sim algorithms to allow more sacks by the line as a whole, this may not cause nearly as much of an uproar. That or decrease the regression penalty for leading the league in sacks given up; those seem to be the only real fixes that EA could support.

I didn't think the tuner affected offline CFM and was more of an online tuner, is that not the case? I guess I'm just trying to figure out if that's more of a placebo thing. I just say that because that post brought up QB awareness drops, but CM tested QB awareness over the course of 30 years and IMO it didn't seem like that big of a discrepancy. So I'm not sure if the T regression thing being better without the tuner was just the result of one lucky sim.

Yes..just hoping to get lucky and find something. Will post later if I can get some sims done

thanks Eric, appreciate the explanation as opposed to what feels like a warning from elsewhere....a lot of us just want the game fixed, and my frustration comes from constantly seeing GREAT discussion tossed aside, then watching this single focus thread end up getting patch attention, while something linked(this obvious isn't linked) is deleted or sent to another thread that isn't getting any attention. then the next madden is released and the problem is still there.

I understand deleting threads that cover the same topic, I will never understand stopping people from in length discussing topics that all go back to the same goal: FIXING CFM.

really well thought out, I hadn't seen the information you posted. appreciate the knowledge on the topic

What do sack totals look like if you give everyone in the league "ideal" sense pressure and throw away "yes" ?

It's great that it is a fix but we also don't want it to cause too low of sack totals throughout the league
