Weather in Franchise
I apologize if this has been brought up before but I did a search and couldn't find anything. But my question is that I'm wondering if the weather works in online franchise or does it always stay the same. I haven't seen anything as of yet. I'm currently playing a December game in Chicago and the camera crew still has shorts on. Thanks for any help with this.Tags: None -
Re: Weather in Franchise
I've played 2 seasons with Chicago, the only time I've ever witnessed a non-sunny day was when the game froze on me, and I had to restart from where I left off and the weather changed from sunny to rain.
After that, I've never seen any rain or snow. -

Re: Weather in Franchise
I know that in M15, the "extras" always wore the same clothes regardless of weather conditions. I've not seen anything other than sunny conditions in M16 to see if this has been changed

Re: Weather in Franchise
Have only had very windy games to this point. I can't open the roof in my stadium which really annoys me considering I can on Play Now"Don't ever underestimate the heart of a champion!"

Clint Oldenburg said its a known issue and that they are looking into it. I guess that's all I can ask at this point.Comment

Re: Weather in Franchise
It's weird how weather is so difficult for EA to get functioning correctly.
I remember in M11 the newly touted "random weather generator" produced the same result, randomly, each week. And they had to patch it.
For years crew and coaches and fans have worn shirt sleeves, even in the snow/rain.
This was supposed to be better this year. At least they are "looking into it." But it's hard to have confidence they will ever get something as simple as weather working correctly, when they've had the exclusive license for a decade and can't seem to get it working properly.
Same thing with wind. For 4 years the wind arrow pointed backwards on XP's and FG's. Gamers dutifully listed it in glitch threads for years, and I Personally Tweeted them about it, and only last year did they finally fix the wind arrows to point in the proper direction. And now there are way overdone wind speeds in many games.
How hard can wind and weather be? Other sports games tackled this rocket science years ago.Last edited by IcedCoffee1983; 09-23-2015, 11:18 AM.Comment

The wind arrow pointing in wrong direction for 4 years was just plain hilarious/sad LOL.......They finally fixed it but now outta control winds every game.
And why is weather so difficult, I am so shocked this is such an issue for this game. I play as Jets so cold/snow games should be a norm, also rainy games, I have yet to see 1 and I am in week 13Comment

Re: Weather in Franchise
Another thing I will never understand is why they never give us the ability to manually set weather in our own Off-line CFM's.
It's my CFM.... If I want a blizzard every game... Who cares?
This feature was inexplicably removed years ago. It would also solve issues like this, where gamers are getting only sunny weather almost every game, and EA has to look into why weather isn't function properly and is overly windy. If I could manually set weather at least I could make it varied or tone down the wind myself.
Heck, I could use a random number generator and randomly pick weather myself and using that. And Boom, I would accomplish what EA has been unable to for 10 years.Last edited by IcedCoffee1983; 09-23-2015, 02:34 PM.Comment
