Re: Drive goals don't give out conf like before.
First game I played with Patch #2 and a new CFM, I got +2 confidence from Dynamic Drive Goals! Ugh...I was hoping it would be rare per others' experience, but lo and behold, there it was. But definitely toned down from before. Also, one thing I will say, I love the extra XP. What a difference it makes in helping progress your guys. I think I'm going to stick with it for that reason.
Now, I just have to test out some games to see if I should play with our without the tuner...
To those of you whom don't want to bother with either workaround (32 man method, or Booker21's method).
What you should do is TURN OFF DRIVE GOAL VISUALS (in the main menu) but don't turn them off with workarounds.
If you have the visuals turned off, Drive Goals still happen in the background but you don't see them and don't know which Drove Goal you're currently being "tasked" with. Thus; you seldom compete them except by coincidence once in a while.
Since you will seldom compete them you will get little to no confidence from them, but will still get some additional XP.
This is what I have done and it is working for me. I believe arrive Goals were needed by the patch, and doing this nerfs them further.Comment

Why are folks not using the tuner exactly? Scrambling QBs?@MikeLowe47 | YouTube | Discord

That is what I have always done. But I still complete then. One game I had 4 after patched. Last night I had none though.

Re: Drive goals don't give out conf like before.
I can verify you do not have to delete all your files and the game and reinstall it all, or delete tuner, etc., etc., etc.
I simply started a new CFM and drive goals were fixed. Played 2 seasons almost and no problems.Don't look back too long and don't look too far ahead.Comment

Fixed or not fixed what I don't like is that your team gets green on many players and very few maybe none red.

Re: Drive goals don't give out conf like before.
Before the patch I'd get games where several players shot up 10 confidence. Now it's 1 which is great.Don't look back too long and don't look too far ahead.Comment

Re: Drive goals don't give out conf like before.
Have you sued the workaround or the 32 offline ? Do you notice the game is harder by not using it? That is what I'm testing now.
I want to see if the cpu Ai is the same or not.

I'm not using your work around for this one. Used it before the patch in another CFM. I'm using armor&swords sliders and I don't find the game any harder or easier than before.Comment

Re: Drive goals don't give out conf like before.
Ok thanks. That's what I was looking. So the AI is the same.

Re: Drive goals don't give out conf like before.
OK has anyone simmed 2-3 seasons in advanced? After the first season I only saw 3-5 teams with a lot of 99 confidence players.
I had a horrible 2nd year so I decided to Sim the rest of the year. Now week 1 in season 3' every team has at least 10 guys with 99 confidence. Even the 1-15 bucs had over 10 players at 99.
The only team with less than 5? The Bears who I control.
This is a brand new franchise with deleted tuner and new patch.

We could think that 99 may be the "normal" but if that would be the normal, players shouldn´t be getting rating boost. So 99 is not the normal and it means they are playing above they actual ratings. 10 players is almost half of the team, not every Super Bowl champions should have half of the team playing over their real ratings.
Also this would be a pain for all sliders makers, we know how much confidence affect gameplay, so this means that we should make 2 sets of sliders. 1 for the first 2 years and another one for when all teams get 99 on half of their team.English, is not my first language.Comment

Re: Drive goals don't give out conf like before.
I tested multiple CFM yesterday.
1. New CFM, No Tuner, Single Team.
2. New CFM, With Tuner, Single Team
3. New CFM, No Tuner, 32 Teams
4. New CFM, With Tuner, 32 Teams
I simmed 3 full seasons for each of these CFM's.
1 and 2 provided teams filled with 99 confidence in their 3rd year. Every team had at least 10 players with 99.
Now I know you'll say that it's just confidence and it doesn't affect their rating, but you're wrong. When you view the players card, it tells you "So and So has 69 confidence, which gives him +3 ratings boost"
It doesn't mean much but when you have a bunch of 75 rated players with 99 confidence, and they're all get +3 to their ratings, it inflates their ratings and especially their team. I noticed this when I went to see the team ratings.
The Bears, who I was controlling, had 3 players with 99 confidence. Their team rating was 79.
The Bucs, who had at least 15 players with 99 confidence, had a team rating of 84.
Now CFM 3 and 4 were completely different. I did the 32 team workaround, and after 3 seasons, there was only 3-4 teams filled with 99 confidence. Most teams had only 4-5 players in 99 confidence.
So I've stuck to the 32 team control. I feel like it's the only way to have a good CFM.Comment

Just an observation. The workaround only affects played games. Sim games doesn't have drive goals and doesn't affect them at all.
So cpu teams will have same confidence with or without workaround. That being said I'm curious why you got so much difference results from each other.
What you could look is the user team and compared to other team with same win-loss ration and if they compared or cpu team has way much difference on confidence after 1 year. Maybe the cpu teams are getting a confidence boost after all? To even the field for drive goals user get?
