So cpu teams will have same confidence with or without workaround. That being said I'm curious why you got so much difference results from each other.

What you could look is the user team and compared to other team with same win-loss ration and if they compared or cpu team has way much difference on confidence after 1 year. Maybe the cpu teams are getting a confidence boost after all? To even the field for drive goals user get?

First, thank you so much to the OP for doing these tests. Very insightful! My first thoughts were that it really wasn't a big deal to see confidence high because that's what football is all about--confidence can do ca-razy things for a team. Now, luckily their confidence is 99 and not their overall rating. Being bumped up 3 ovr because of confidence actually seems spot-on to me.

Think about your real-life NFL team when they're on a roll...or the opposite! (Lions fan here!)

In the end, I really appreciate the shared results, and I agree with Booker that I don't think it should matter all that much without drive goals--it seems the stuff we're dissecting shouldn't play a roll in those 99 confidence player.

Hell, if Madden were truly realistic, we'd have about 85% of the league at 99% confidence lol.

Personally, the problem for me is not that half of the team has 99 confidence at the end of year or whatever, what bothers me is that user may reach that 99 confidence way more faster than CPU would because the drive goals.

If at year 3, i see 11 players with 99 on user team, but then i go to the CPU, a team with the same win-loss ration than mine and they do have 11 players or so with 99 confidence, it´s balanced.

What i don´t like is having 20 players with 99 while CPU get 11 players, that would be unfair and unbalanced and that was the problem i found with Drive goals being only for Played games. When you could get 6 or 7 + for all players each game.

After patch this is much more balance, (even i got 4+ one game out of 5) but still nothing compared to what was before patch.

I still think the game should have an option to turn this OFF like it has for Salary Cap, Relocation, etc. That is the only solution i find that all players would agree on.

Does confidence carry over from season to season or is it zeroed out at 50 at the beginning of each season?

Oh, I was making the assumption that folks were still turning drive goals off via the adding a temporary head coach for your opponent. I'm with you--I don't want ANY advantage over the AI, no matter how small.

I always play with drive goals off!

This could be a simple way for ea to fix this with a patch. We all know that is impossible to fix this entirely. But maybe making the confidence reset per season will make this confidence thing a no issue.

Beside I don't think qb are worried about the int they threw last year in week one. Right? [emoji12]

Confidence should def reset at beginning of each new season. You always hear teams talk about how the previous season has no bearing on the next season. For each team each new season has it's own identity.

Exactly. Make no sense at all. Lazy development.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.
