This is more my thing: I don't like the concept of pressing certain buttons for RAC/spec catch and possession. I want the WR, depending on AWR/attributes to instinctively know what to do. If I hit Y with Megatron in a situation where there should be a possession catch then he should do it; regardless. Because its Megatron. Same as if I press Y in double coverage with Travis Benjamin; he shouldn't even attempt a spectacular catch. Just stick a hand out or just let it sail by. I want the players to govern these things, not us.

Yea seeing guys like ODB and Julio makes those crazy aggressive catches is fine(in moderation), I have a problem when guys like Kerley and Tavon Austin are able to be as effective at it as elite WRs. Sure every WR should be able to ATTEMPT to go up and go it but ratings should determine who actually brings it down and holds onto it.

This also has me wondering about the jumping attribute, since it's two man animations does it really matter what anyone's jump rating is? When the animation plays its just an animation, I don't see guys with 90 jump going over guys with 60 jump.

I agree. I don't think they should limit animations to only certain players at least when it comes to receivers. Pass Rush moves and Running back moves I'm okay with if you have tiers of each move which is seems like they're doing with RB's this year. But I think all the catch animations should be available to any receiver and basically have a difficulty trait tied to them and based on whatever the WR's ratings are and the DB covering him paired with the type of catch he's trying to make determine how successful the chances are. So you can still have moments like this:

where a guy with 22 career receptions makes an amazing catch.

And you bring up a great point about jump not mattering because it really doesn't when everything depends on the animation that triggers. That might be the one place I'd be okay with certain players maybe having additional animations or if they made variable animations where a guy with 65 for Jump went up and the ball go over his head while a guy with 95 jump can get up and get his hands on it.

Someone brought up last week on Twitter about aggressive catches being over the top.

Rex answered, we got you covered, bro or something similar.

            Pass the popcorn time.

I agree with everyone in thery is capable but the % to see my 3 WR make a crazy catch should be low . But I do feel ya on the everyone has a chance .

That is the way it is when you sign a NDA.

As soon as the blogs start coming out, Mr. Price can be a bit more open with his answers.

I think we might be tapped out on questions based on my limitations. I'll peek in here tomorrow but we may have to wait until some gameplay blogs drop (I have no idea when that will be).

Does the kickers ratings have an impact on the kicking meter or is it all based on the user?

Based on the answers, a "ask me almost anything" thread might have been just a tad premature.

In previous Maddens there was a "Cover 2 Buc" play call. In the current game all MLBs play the cover 2 as if they are in a Tampa 2 scheme.

Did they bring back a Tampa 2 play and adjust the normal cover 2 to actually play like cover 2?

As I typed this I started doubting you can answer at this time, if not ill hit you up after the blogs are released.

I dont know if you got to play the game on high difficulties or not but was offense noticeably harder to play. I would expect with the new defensive changes you shouldnt get away with stuff you did in previous maddens.

Is there a new scoreboard overlay , it's been the same the last 2 maddens?

The ratings have an impact on how much you're penalized for not executing the new mechanic perfectly. I think it also impacts certain timing windows.

Ratings also come into play with the new kick blocking mechanic. It's easier with elite players than it is with lower-rated guys.
