Re: I've played ~40 hours of Madden 17: AMAlmost Anything (Answers in first post)
Right, the reason I ask (not to get people all riled up) was for clarity. Because, I think people that want a 'swat' button or better 'swat' mechanic do NOT want to press and hold a button. I'm personally fine either way, but I have a feeling the people that really want to just position their DB and swat may not quite be getting that with this. Thanks for response.

I plan on only playing offline this year and if I don't like usering WR/DB's because HUM controlled teams already have a big enough advantage. I like to like ratings and traits effect the game over "stick skillz" that way signing FA's and drafting players really matters.
I know some people will say that players who use no switch rules use them because they aren't good or whatever... but it's actually the other way around. I like not switching because it provides more of a challenge. In the past it has anyway, maybe Madden 17 will be different...My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

So will both AI (as in CPU teams) and my non-HUM controlled teammates use the Play Ball, Play Receiver or Swat mechanics?

They should still use the mechanics. I think the advantage is more a weighted dice roll than it is AI players not doing things.

Switching gears.... can you tell us about some of the things you saw from the Throw out of Sack animation accompanied by the new ball physics?
Did you see anything crazy (by crazy I mean awesome) like the ball hitting an o-lineman in the helmet and bouncing up for an INT? Also, can strong QB's like Cam or Big Ben still get enough power to throw out of a sack animation? Lastly, can you say if there's been any improvements to Intentional Grounding? My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Okay, so as long as us no switch players don't start switching then we'll still be on a somewhat level playing field with the CPU when the ball is in the air? If so, that does make me feel better.

I don't know if throw power or strength affects the throw out of sack, but I saw guys get hit while they threw and horizontal-axis spinning ducks popping out, some that went a few yards in the ground, etc.
Not sure about intentional grounding.

Other favorite addition not announced yet. Thinking next week based on some stuff I saw tonight.
I'm not sure which ratings specifically play into aggressive catch but my guess is jumping, spec catch, CIT, agility. I'll try to find out.
Are you referring to when I was on offense or defense with regards to adjustments to new zones?
Ball physics impact the passing game, but primarily when it comes to tips and deflections.
Swat is primarily used in AGG catch scenarios but does work in others, yes.
REX blog (We now restrict those extremely athletic, high degree of difficulty catches to the more elite ball in air receivers only. OBJ, Julio, A.B., Hopkins and Dez are the type of players who will have the ability to do those spectacular catches consistently, while a Running Back or Slot receiver will trigger a catch that is more reflective of his catching ability.)Comment

This really needs to be added and a presnap adjustment as well. I get it, there are some plays that its designed into. However even that is limiting. We need ability to disguise any d play we choose.Base align does not really do alot for this that i've noticed. Tried it alot, does not really make a large enough shift in players to really change up look of play presnap that much.Ive tweeted Rex about this for months, never get 1 response on it.Comment

Re: I've played ~40 hours of Madden 17: AMAlmost Anything (Answers in first post)
Its not too many ways to disguise coverage anyway lol but the best way is man align/base align press (cant tell the coverage till after the snap), base align back your cbs off (make everything look like cover 4), or manually move your safeties in basic cover 3 positions. Not much else you can do besides that. You can get pretty creative hiding your coverage if you really want too but its what happens after the snap that really matters.
Alright y'all, I'm out until Monday, maybe tomorrow if there's another blog. Don't let the place burn down while I'm gone, k?Comment

Is it possible that we actually will have evening games that will start with sunlight and actually turn into a night game by halftime. EA claims to have this but it never works right..

Re: I've played ~40 hours of Madden 17: AMAlmost Anything (Answers in first post)
With Man and Zone being upgraded/revamped, how is the speed differential between players?
Will good coverage LBs look better against faster WRs and TEs or is there not much difference? Like in 16, almost any LB can cover drag, crossing, and in routes until the WR/TE is almost to the sideline.PSN: SELLURGAMEUSUCK

In the additional gameplay blog they mentioned pass blocking logic has been upgraded (as they say every year). Did you notice anything different/improved about the pass blocking did you notice any new pass blocking animations? Can you talk about the pass rush now, I believe that's all the game-play blogs correct?Last edited by SportsGamer94; 05-27-2016, 11:50 PM.Comment
