Alright y'all I have a lot of work to finish before I hop on a plane tomorrow morning to LA so I won't be able to be in here much. There's a thread i started where you can request specific things from EAPlay and it will act as a sort of hub for everything I do there. I'll be back in this thread sporadically over the next week or so. ✌️

Is supersim something a lot of people use?

I don't think I've touched it in a few years now. Not begrudging anyone who uses it, obviously. I just didn't know it was a popular feature (I obviously missed the thread on it).

I, personally, only use it if I'm up by 21 or something in the 4th qtr and just want to finish game quicker. And, even when doing that, I still get jacked up stats, so it has made not want to use it even in that limited scenario. I think a decent amount of people use it (by 'decent,' I would say 'enough' use it to warrant fixing it). And, I think some use it as sort of a coach mode thing I think to see the game play out. The way they created it can be quite beneficial for multiple player use scenarios, actually. HOWEVER, because it is broken, no one really wants to utilize it. So, I would hope for the dev team, they at least said, 'yeah, supersim has been off forever, let's try to work on that'.

I hope Supersim is not one of the two things. That just doesn't seem like a needle mover at all to me.

How often have u heard repeated lines from the new commentary team?

If you break a long TD do say one thing about the break and then stay silent until you score like past maddens?

I would actually think an improvement to supersim would have a bigger impact than people think. I cant tell you how many times ive wanted to sim a few games to get closer to the playoffs or sim games that i know I have a 90% chance of winning. The only thing that would stop me from doing that was the risk of having unrealistic injuries in that one game and then my whole season feels ruined. How many times have we simmed a game and our starting quarterback is out for 10 weeks with a broken collarbone!! So frustrating. If they had some sort of mode where you could fast forward the game without risks of big injuries that would be huge for us CFM guys who like to get through a season quickly.

Maybe it has to do with simming in general and not just supersim, it's possible that they made stats from simulated games more realistic.

Price said they were not mentioned in the same post. At first I was convinced one was a coaching carousel so therefore supersim could not be the other.

Then I read the thread about supersim and am now convinced it's the other way around. Supersim is fixed and still no carousel for '17, which is a HUGE bummer in my opinion.

If it is supersim that will be a bit of a bummer because I never use it. I always play all of my games.

In 16, I supersimmed all the ST play because of all the inaccuracies ST displayed playing it all out.

Let me say two things about SuperSim: #1 is that it would be more widely used if it worked properly. You guys would be surprised at the convienience of it. #2 is that it's super important for people who want to dive into CFM but who have limited amounts of time. If a guy can only sit down and play Madden for an hour, what a joy it would be to have a working sim engine so he could get through a season in a week and take his team to the next level instead of slumbering through games to get realistic results. Some people would use SuperSim in lieu of coach mode. Some people would play all-time-offense with their team. Anything in the game that allows people to play it the way they want to play it is the way to go.

Fixing simmed games would be huge for online CFMs. I know that the "sim a win" feature & super sim were both pretty jacked up. Simming a team a win, I've seen some crazy 88-0 scores. (Most ended up around 50-3.)

Super sim was normally only used if someone playing the CPU didn't want to play the full 4 qtrs. Only issue with it was it would sim a play every 3-4 seconds. So that's where the crazy simmed stats would come in because too many plays would be 'super simmed.'
