you might think that as the release day gets closer the amount I'd be willing to spend would steadily decrease but the opposite is actually occurring. as each day goes by it gets harder and harder to wait. feeling desperate

Spending the money is an individual thing. I have the money and have zero issue dropping 100.00ish.. to get this week.
With that said it's not live or die. Worse case I pick mine up for basically 18.00 on Tuesday.

Ea access should have the kicker that if you purchase game through EA access you should get the game in full 5 days prior

Pointed it out in another thread, but it does look like UFC 2 dropped on Wednesday earlier this year which gives the rumors some credibility.

Or they could just put out a limited amount of "early release" editions for like $100-120 a full week early. Maybe like 1,000 copies. Wouldn't include any extras, maybe a different cover or something. They'd make 40-60k before the game really drops, and still eat of of EA Access.
