Or they could just put out a limited amount of "early release" editions for like $100-120 a full week early. Maybe like 1,000 copies. Wouldn't include any extras, maybe a different cover or something. They'd make 40-60k before the game really drops, and still eat of of EA Access.

I dont think that would be a good idea. It would be seen (correctly) as exploitative.

EA has been releasing all of its EA Access games on Wednesday (even though its announced for Thursday) since Fifa 16. They did it most recently with UFC 2 in March.

Also Pastapadre already confirmed with EA that the game will be released on Wednesday.

EA has begun dropping their trials on the Wednesday prior to the announced Thursday. It's become a trend which is why many assume the trial arrives tomorrow.

On ea early access site it says the 18-22

They've done that for every game that they released on the day prior.

Ill explain. They say Thursday but target 6pm to account for tech issues. If its early great, if not they still have a day to get it out "on time."
