    THIS!

3rd and 3 and they run 2 and fall out of bounds, why?
There was no reason to fall out of bounds or stumble, not to mention I will need 5 or 10 yds and I pass the ball and my man will run back 3-4yds to catch the ball only to run out, trip up, or get tackled and not get the 1st down.
    True bout my business, Mane!

Receivers don't really do a good job even trying to get their feet down on sidelines/back of endzones.

        Re: Madden NFL 17 Impressions

32 team control in CFM is ****ed. It's clear that this method is totally ignored by the developers, which is a shame because there's a lot of people that like controlling all the teams and having everything set up the way it is in real life. I mean, there's not even an option at the beginning of CFM to just "pick all 32"- look at the process for having to go in and do it one by one. I think that says it all about how much they care about people who set it up like this.

One of the most glaring issues with 32 control CFM is after you make moves for a certain team (in preseason at least, haven't gotten to regular season yet) and you exit & switch to another team, the CPU has somehow gone in and released players from your main roster. It also transfers players over from the main roster to practice squad without prompting. The game does all this on its own even though I am controlling that team and everything is set to manual. Wtf? Incredibly tedious to have to go back and change everything that the CPU inexplicably did when they don't even have control of the team. When the CPU goes rogue and makes move for one of your user controlled teams, I noticed they especially hate long snappers (b/c they're low overall rated sometimes I guess?). Those guys are always one of the first to go.

Secondly, there are a lot of players that should be eligible for the practice squad that aren't in CFM. All rookies are fine, but the game assumes that almost anyone with some experience is not eligible. There are a few that are allowed even w/ a "2" exp in Madden (Akeem Hunt for example), but most aren't. Countless players IRL on the practice squad cannot be placed on it in Madden- Matt Barkley is one that comes to mind, but there are tons others. It is clearly not set up in the game properly which players should be eligible for practice squad, it is too restrictive. The logic is flawed.

Finally, players are still disappearing from the free agent pool. It is crazy to me that this is happening despite it being a problem for years in the past. Really frustrating to either create, or edit someone that you plan on putting on a practice squad and then have them not show up or disappear literally almost right before your eyes. All these issues are very aggravating for people that are attempting to create a 100% realistic franchise in which everything parallels the real NFL. Really hope this stuff is fixed for next year.

I'm really enjoying this years game a lot. Also really liking the kick meter. At least for me, field goals are far from automatic now. I've missed several kicks so far. And even a few pat's. Trying to kick that game wining FG with a heavy wind is a real white knuckle experience.

It doesn't even give you the option to choose what to challenge.

The CPU cheats all the time with this!!!!

I will sack the QB or hit the QB and he will lose the ball, the arm is moving backward yet he'll throw it 10yds out of bounds or even throw a perfect pass 25yds down the field. Never a fumble, CAN'T CHALLENGE.

I can't challenge nothing, intentional grounding is NEVER CALLED and what should've been a fumble is called an incomplete pass.
I agree with this. The challenge feature isn't very good to begin with in the game. Receiver will catch it and immediately get hit and drop the ball and it's a fumble. You can't even challenge it though like on Monday in the Steelers game.

Plus, the opposite of what you said. I was nearly sacked in a game last night and the QB's arm was DEFINITELY moving forward, yet it was a fumble returned for a TD. Not sure if a patch can fix this, but it needs to be overhauled in the future since replays are such a big part of the game now.

It's almost as if they have it backwards...I see arms going forward and it is called a fumble, and I see arms pinned back and magically the ball comes out as a spiral and it is called incomplete. You have to wonder what these guys are doing sometimes. It really is head spinning some of the stuff you see that just puts the game in a poor light...regardless of how many steps forward they have taken this year. The bloom is coming off the rose for me.

The only times I ever see challenges is when it's initiated by the refs. I don't think I've ever user challenged anything, although I've tried plenty of times.

That actually depends upon the AWR of the receiver

Yeah this sadly makes creating Barry Sanders a no-go too, imo. Just a simple option for "expressive yes/no" would do.

I really, really hope that a complete offensive line (specifically pass blocking) overhaul is in store for M18 because I can't describe how atrocious it is in M17. It's far away the most glaring issue and biggest thing holding the game back at this point IMO and leads to by far the most WTF! moments. I mentioned it being a concern in one of my earlier impressions and I don't know if I just didn't pay as much attention to it then but it's becoming an every game thing for me now. Watching 300+ pound lineman just get thrown around like children or belly flop to the ground letting DL come in completely unabated is just ridiculous.

Just lost a challenge where my rb clearly crosses the goalline into the endzone, and before his knee hits the ground, pretty annoying.

I have been highly critical of EA and there approach to football games. But this is a very good game. Since Madden 08 I typically bought the game and played 30 hours...every year. Madden 25 I played a bit more because of historic rosters/playbooks.

I have played 3 ten hour sessions already with this game! The franchise mode is great now with all the editing allowed (fictional rosters for me).

Great game overall. Great feel to the game. Real NFL strategy of reading defenses. With some slider tweaks to increase D-Line pressure this game is really fun and challenging.

Props to the EA crew. I am really enjoying this game....only wish we had more extensive old school playbooks.

I have yet to encounter consistent glitchy or gameplay killer's that previous versions of madden had, that made me just abandon the game. I'm really liking this game, and wish there was more time between the release of this and NBA 2K17. I really want to spend a lot of my already minimal gaming time with one title.
