I think part of the problem with stretch/power/toss is that TE run blocking ratings are much higher this year. They are far too effective at sealing the edge.

Re: Running Game Too Easy?
Rex said they were tuning the stretch run effectiveness. I'm not sure if it made it in the tuner that was recently released that was specific to fumbling but it does appear to be a little better. Running appears to be a tad bit more challenging although I do agree that running at Watt or Donald or any other top defender does not affect your run game whatsoever.Comment

Re: Running Game Too Easy?
I play as SF, and runs up the middle are ridiculous. Holes big enough for trucks are constantly opening up, regardless of run blocking. Very easy to average 5.5 per carry going up the middle (except on goal line situations).

Re: Running Game Too Easy?
Edit RB's "Ball Carry Vision" to 65 for 95% of RB's and you won't be posting in this thread anymore.
Only top backs should be 80's and above, but default roster and many custom rosters still have most RB's 85+, which drives why even sub-par OL are blocking like they're Dallas.
This rating is the ability of a ball carrier to recognize run lanes.
In order for him to recognize an open lane, lanes have to be created by the blockers.
So this rating really impacts lane creation by blockers during the run game.
- running lanes basically become a lot smaller and you just got to run up in/through there.
Most of the vids show guys out running their blocking to the outside to perform the fancy moves.
Couple this with the high Stamina ratings for all RB's, and you can start to see why there's no real work that has to happen for an effective run game.Comment

Re: Running Game Too Easy?
CPU makes you pay for not timing big hits and etc.
I see now that I am gonna have to go study my depth chart because the CPU seems to take advantage. Every playcall seems to matter a little more. Just been one game but I feel like this is a good spot for it.
So anyone complaining about the run game. Give his Jarodd sliders a try.Comment

Re: Running Game Too Easy?
Well Jarodd glad I decided to give your sliders a try. I didn't do All-Madden because I never really enjoyed all madden when playing the CPU.They have been amazing.(CPU actually get off blocks and blow up running plays) I did tweak them a little bit. I turned down block in the back and increased user qb accuracy.

Re: Running Game Too Easy?
Congrats to all that find running so extremely easy, but that isn't the case for everyone...I do not what the general average is for all Madden users, but I don't find running as easy as people in this thread are making it out to be...Comment

Re: Running Game Too Easy?
I'm playing on all pro with the Rams and I'm pretty garbage at running. I can manage about 100 yards a game but unless my line opens up a huge hole for me I get bogged down going through the line.
I don't use sprint until I'm through the hole and I try and use R1 to get skinny, which doesn't alway work. It just feels like my RB is stuck in mud going through the line, I can't hit cut back lanes because or adjust to a new hole without getting blown up.
I've been increasing Gurleys speed and acceleration and that's helped a little, but I feel like something just isn't clicking yet with the run gameComment

Re: Running Game Too Easy?
Yes the run block slider works. All you have to do is turn down the USER runblock and raise the CPU tackling. Easy fix,Comment
