"PEak start and Peak End" from 2K would be monumental in CFM.
Tendecies for quarterbacks at least to determine how the progress through their reads and how often they scramble

EA should really look into their soccer manager game from some years ago (unfortunately not available anymore).

While I would definitely agree that would be way too much (especially for non-PC) there are so many features which were great. If you just take some of them, CFM would be on a whole new level.

Just to name a few:
Scouting, contracts, training (planning), ...

-Download draft class
-expansion teams
-Find a trade
-assistant coaches

I don't agree at all, in fact I think it'd encourage more people to play franchise because their progress wouldn't all be lost when the new game comes out.

I can only speak for myself, but, by time the new madden comes out I have become bored with my franchise. I like to start over with the existing players again. I just don't want the development team to decide not to do something that would improve franchise mode because it would not work/take too much work with year to year saves.

Mock drafts like NBA 2k. Plenty more NBA 2k features would fit in Madden as well. Better social media updates. The depth of training, a focus on specific areas for each and every single player. Assistant coaches, GM's, etc. that actually make a difference to the strategy of the club. A news ticker that genuinely informs about what is going on. MLB's radio show would be sensational in Madden.

I see your point but you can always start a new one if you desire. There are a lot of folks like myself out there with limited time to play though and never usually play franchise because they know they won't make much progress before the new game drops so they simply don't begin the mode, or if they do don't get very far in it..

Knowing your progress will carry over would do a lot to alleviate that though...I think it'd make the mode a lot more popular.

I can see coach mode not being the most highly demanded feature, but the stats speak for themselves....

They need to put in/ invest a lot more time into franchise mode. I for one think they need to do a better job of differentiating player/ coach/ and owner mode. Additionally, they need to separate online and offline franchise and build to each others strengths.

Well, there is a catch to "the stats speak for themselves" though... The OS community is primarily a SIM/Career mode type place, which is where that vote takes place. Sadly though, we hardly represent a majority of the madden community. In fact, the reason gamemodes like MUt get so much attention is because that is what a majority of players are playing, and where they make a majority of their money.

Alas, I do agree. I wish they would put more effort into franchise mode.

Yeah, but again, OS is a minority. Most of the community plays MUT primarily. They definitely do need to keep improving on cfm, and I believe that they will.

yep, if you’re commenting on OS, you’re probably not playing MUT very often.

championship manager 01/02 still rocks with the fan updates.
