And that all goes back to Madden 13 when they integrated online and offline and started to call it CFM. They were hoping to streamline all fixes though both areas at once, but it isn't working out as intended.
Almost 4 months since launch, what do you all think about this game?

Where does this leave the simulation crowd then? Its been said here and elsewhere 1000 times, we are the minority in this . By a large number they claim. So if they are just going to , in the end, really just cater more to the casual/tourney peps, what does that mean for future titles? To me it kinda leaves only two options. Either they provide a sim/arcade gameplay modes with silders that actually work or it just simply wont be worth buying anymore. I dont see any other choice for the future of this game. Because the above are the facts, there are more of "them" and not as much of us, thus they will cater more to "them" .
But to that extent I think distinctly separating the two would be a big step backwards. They've shown time and time again that the offline player takes a backseat to the online gamer and separating them would do more to hurt that divide than it would to bridge it IMO. Best case scenario is, like you mentioned, Sim/Arcade modes with working (and expanded) sliders similar to 2K that allow offline/online & sim/arcade to coincide on the same axis so that everybody wins.
They're getting my money every year so it really doesn't matter. But it would be nice if they had a person like Mr. Looman, the guy behind Head Coach, plugging away at franchise mode. He'd show up in forums and give us his take and take our feedback on wishlists and such.Comment

Re: Almost 4 months since launch, what do you all think about this game?
Also one more thing about 2k is that at least when youre playing myleague/mygm, when you are loading into a game you dont see promos for myteam or anything like that. (i havent played 2k17 yet, although now that i am thinking more, in 2k16 there might have been myteam promos in loading screens but not to the extent that is in madden)
basically my point is, keep the modes separate. i havent and wont ever touch mut, and its annoying with the amount of loading screens in this game that i always see the same mut related ones.Comment

Walls17... Wow that is an excellent point. I never even thought about that, When you turn on Madden, or switching main screens. All the promotions, advertisements, are about MUT and OL.. I have yet to see even one that promotes FRANCHISE. Correct me if I am wrong, But that was supposed to be the big selling point this year.
I guess that alone should give you a great insight as to where EA's support and attention lies. When I do something right, No one ever remembers.

4 months in and this is not the game I was playing at launch. The last few title updates has removed this game from my playlist. With the never miss qbs to the non existent fg misses (not to mention blocked kicks have all but disappeared now), I cannot play this game going forward.

Like Junior, I'm not going to put one extra cent into a game I've already purchased. So, those MUT or DC ads the pop up on occasion(I don't see the all the time I turn on the game because I leave games in the middle sometimes), they don't bother me a bit.
I've seen 2k advertise VC upon start-up and it doesn't bother me, so, it's just something easy for me to ignore.
It's like advertising a tasty cheeseburger on TV, if it looks good, you will race out to get it. If cheeseburgers aren't your thing, it's easy to ignore them.Comment

Just to chime in on what a few others are mentioning, the loading screen advertisements don't bother me. The things that bother me is a lack of effort and quality in CFM along with multiple other things like the poster I quoted mentioned.Comment

Re: Almost 4 months since launch, what do you all think about this game?
I don't feel it's improved any and there has been some regression to the game, but I don't see some of the regressions because I found sliders that combat the high completion percentages on all pro.Comment

I like generally the game without latest patch, the only one thing that initially I love that actually really hate is the commentary, seem very unrealistic and annoying. I prefer actual real speaker no doubt. Why so serious??Comment

Re: Almost 4 months since launch, what do you all think about this game?
Okay I am trying to pick some games to buy on PS4 to buy with the discounts and the 10 percent code. Madden 17 is one of my maybes. I have Madden 16, so my question is what do you think is the better experience. Madden 16 fully patched with sliders or Madden 17 in current state? Thanks in advance for advice.Comment
