Just about to try this for the first time. Updating my rosters, saving it and then deleting everything and reinstalling.

Once this thread was started I knew it was only a matter of time before I gave in. Won an auction on the 'Bay for $31 just now, should have the game by Thursday.

Just wanted to add my voice to the growing chorus of people here and say that I caved and bought the disc (had digital version) and I'm glad I did. Wow, what a difference! I was about to give up on Madden...gameplay has been terrible since the big October patch...but this changes everything. It's actually both fun and more realistic now. Moving forward, I will be buying the disc! Go old school offline play!

unless I'm doing something wrong, it looks like you cant get the ootb version 1.0 if your on xbox1... it will give you release day patch automatically... just a heads up as I have exhausted all avenues with deleting game, profile, completely off line and still doesnt work...

I have XB1, and I just picked up the disc today. Took the console offline, installed it, and it works great (so far). As long as you keep it offline, you should be good. At any point you put it online, even if in game, it kicks you out of the game and forces you to install a 8.2 GB update.

It plays so much better than the 1.07 version. Basically it just feel more organic. Drops are more organic. Tackles. Pass rush is much better. I actually feel rush. Great game overall. It not perfect but it's so much better than newer versions. And I bought the disc full price. I don't regret it one bit.

Figured out the little hiccup I was experiencing deleting the game and I've been playing non-stop. Is it perfect? But OOTB this games pretty well and it overall it just feels more organic. I can do without color rush and commentary updates if I means having a good football gaming experience. Everyone will have their opinions but OOTB is definitely they way to if you're able to

Yeah, I enjoyed the first game I played OOTB. User QB Accuracy is affected by the CPU pass rush and I loved seeing the inaccurate passes by Andy Dalton. Only issues I'm having is Auto subs not working correctly and the best wide receiver always lining up on the left side while the best cornerback on defense always lines up on the opposite side.

THat could be rectified by adjusting the depth chart but I just wanted to throw that out there. I'm gonna play with the patch with the same teams to see if they're are any differences or if it is just placebo.

It's absolutely not placebo,I think we already established this. Just read the whole thread. I think there are a number of more game breaking occurrences post patches.
