Re: Madden NFL 17 Patch #9 Available Now, Full Details Here

I'm a pretty simple guy, who happens to adore Madden 17 even in its current state. So for me, if they can fix the punting issue and perhaps make defensive pass coverage better, I'd be in 7th Heaven. I like to play d-line, and my computer-controlled defense can't cover anybody, no matter the playcall. I only get passing D if I'm controlling someone. So I'd be good with those, or either of them [emoji1303]

Explain that hash tag to me. Is it something one of the devs said on Twitter a while ago or something?

Another update focused on MUT from EA, what else is new. The fact that the punting issue still goes unfixed while EA continues to release updates focused on MUT is just sad.

@bigsteve.....it was very big prior to the release of Madden 2017. I believe the term came from a YouTuber by the name SimFootball Critic. He did a lot of interviews with Rex leading up to release. Rex blew a bunch of steam up everyone's you know what's in regards to how CFM was such a big focus this year and how they were listening to the community. Seems like a failed initiative to me. I see no #CFM MOVEMENT but I damn sure see a #MUT MOVEMENT

Be careful what you wish for , im just telling ya.Even if we payed ( over top of the price for game to just only play CFM, which i feel is already more than enough) that will not guarantee CFM will progress that much faster. They still will use the short dev cycle for each year as a reason only so much can go in.Look the facts is, Mut and madden mobile create MORE than enough profit already , they could afford to take a very tiny, and i mean tiny, slice of that money and put it in CFM now, but they wont . I recall a game changer a couple years ago stating that madden mobile alone makes them in the millions PER MONTH. Thats not even counting madden sales profits, MUT, etc. So the money is already there to make it better. I personally would quit before i gave them another dime to provide us what they already should be. Personally i honestly believe CFM is intentionally held back this way for years, to get people to start to feel this way and start to agree to giving them more for CFM.Why? because i know how businesses work in 2017 , i went to business school for a while in 96. If one thinks that big businesses ( behind the scenes ) dont do this type of thing, i dont really know what else to say. Just be careful what you wish for.

I actually believe it was ShopMaster and MadScientist who started that #CFMMovement hashtag. Back in madden 15 i believe.Shop even has/had a website called www.cfmmovement.com where we were supposed to post our wish lists for cfm, and the devs looked at it and did the top two things for 16 and for 17. Also was a place to post our ideas, things we saw bad in the game that needed attention, just a place to talk about what we see and want to see in CFM. However , honestly that site has been down more than its ever been up. Was a good idea, but not really kept up with or followed thru on well.
            Yup, i said it !

That might be true, but if it wasn't for franchise and cfm, there would be no MUT.

It really is sad. Rex & his team have developed a game mode which basically incorporates gambling and arcade football. Anybody who has played MUT will get my gambling reference. All the while neglecting the other game mode. The game mode that actually made Madden into what it is today. At least throw us some scraps. Lord knows you guys are making money hand over fist with your 100 dollar bundles and 30 dollar packs of digital cards.

We can all agree that gameplay fixes cut across all modes and make the experience better across the entire game.

Beyond that - how many times do we have to have the tired discussion based on a false premise? The MUT team and Franchise team are two fully-staffed groups comprised of entirely different sets of people. One doesn't have general-case priority over the other.

They cater to cfm during development of the game. They have done some good things. After release they chase revenue because they are a business. That means mut and arcade football. Once they have our money we are not of value to them until next year's game. Doesn't mean they don't care or don't want to do more but the company is run by suits not developers.

For me in the next patchapter the priorities should be.

                            1. Quarterbacks run the ball in football. To have the only nfl football game not have this makes the game a failure.

                            2. Punting worked decades ago. It ruins immersion when field position is altered in such an unrealistic way.

                            3. Qb accuracy. I dont have this problem because I don't play on All madden but to many it is catastrophic to their enjoyment of the game. The big reason I don't have the high completion rates is

                            4. Quarterbacks are too afraid of sacks. They are not trying to win a football game. They are trying to not get sacked. The throw aways as soon as a defender sheds a block has to be fixed. Seeing over 20 throw aways in a game is ludicrous. This is actally the issue that pisses me off the most when playing.

If these issues are fixed in a February path I will be very happy. If not this game will go down as a disgrace in madden series.

There is no betting in Ultimate Team. It's not gambling. In fact, one can play through all the MUT single-player challenges without spending a dime, and to that end the mode absolutely stands up on its own as a compelling experience.

Is the competitive experience pay-to-win more often than not? Absolutely; though there is the Salary Cap option to mitigate that some, you have no argument from me on that. It's still not gambling, though. Pay to win is not gambling.

if half of those are fixed, I'll be happy, if all of them, I will be ecstatic.

I just don't agree that they cater everything to the MUT players, I looked over the patches and there were fixes to CFM and game play.

CM- The CFM people won't change until they actually see the title update in February and see what it addresses.
