when CFM came in a few years ago it got backlash, and we still are stuck with that CFM garbage, it is now the only sports game where it takes you 30 mins to start up a 32 team control franchise, then have to fix up all the friggin depth charts because the CPU screws them all up, and you can't even put a long snapper at it's position on the depth chart yet you can in exhibition mode.. well unless you make him a C or G, which then screws up the min requirement crap.

so after it takes 30 mins to create a 32 team franchise i then have to spend several days getting the rosters correct and depth charts, because the CFM garbage is designed just for single player mode, then you get about 300 players vanish from the free agents (NO EXCUSE AT ALL IN 2017 for this to happen!!)

How hard is it to have a injury editor??? then we could put who the hell we want on IR and not have players vanish (usually lower rated players) MLb the show doesn't have this problem.

What happened to the days I could just create my own rosters, keep them how they are start a franchise up 32 team control. in 1 click and start the first game of the season within 4 mins, now I can't even create non rookies on a roster now either we are at EA mercy of roster updates. so if you wanna create classic teams have fun with everybody going for rookie of the year on your team

everything I have said has not been changed in 5 years doubt it will happen any time soon.

I'm with you on this. If it's an off-line franchise there shouldn't even be multiple users. You should instantly already have control over all 32 teams.

Don't forget to plug in a second controller, log in as a guest, change the opponents jersey, slide the controller back to the middle, shut the controller off, then pick your team. That's always another fun five minutes.

I forgot all about that too! They really turned this game into a arcade RPG for single players that is for sure.

Yeah easily my most wanted old feature I'd like added back in. Just want a 32 team control single season mode with accurate rosters and stat tracking.

or option 1 start at start or preseason or season
if pick latter then it starts with roster depth chart/injuries at the start of the season

cpu doesnt then cut a whole bunch if you sim through preseason and injuries are accurate as is what happens now

I agree with all of what's said in this thread, I really wish they scrapped the whole CFM gimmick and go back to basics similar to Madden 12 franchise, I mean this mode was supposed to be innovative at the time but we were and still are begging for features that was already available in Madden 12, add the fact that this mode hardly gets any love feature wise on a yearly basis, I say scrap it and start over.

Great post man. It's exhausting to take control of all 32 teams, and nearly impossible to constantly correct team depth charts each season before burning out. I'm hard leaning towards not buying this year's game, but having full control of everything out of the gate might persuade me.

Doesn't make a different CPU still screws up your depth charts your LS that are mostly TE for some unknown dumb reason in CFM you can't put them at LS position so you gotta make them a C or G. the CPU cuts those players anyway because it thinking having a 4 string TE is stupid. and 90% of those players then vanish from the franchise.

and many lower rated players vanish from the game because they are lower rated players and the game keeps veterans that probably will never see a NFL game again, unless you wanna spend hours making their ratings to 0 so they disssapear as well, it's what happens but more work once again

They are big on "fixing" what they have, and yet franchise is still garbage.

Doubt it at all,, it's funny how other sports games have season mode in for those that just wanna play a season straight away. MLB the show has it.

Yet we have all these other useless modes in madden but not a simple season mode.

NCAA 14 had a fantastic "quick" season mode and i played the hell out of that and then we all know what happened to that series. This new play now season intrigues me and im interested in how easy it will be to control the braindead cpu roster moves. hope they will be diabled all together.

I mean we could do out own season and use the old pen and paper, just means we would have no ticker on the tv or season stats on the screen for the game

I used to do that back in Madden 93, when they just had numbers. I would write down stats and all for everything and use exhibition mode

that is how sad this is I am talking about madden 93 here wasn't till 94 we has a season mode.
