    Buy or no? Why?

I'm still on the fence. I'm intrigued by the gameplay improvements, but I definitely need to see some improvements to CFM if I'm going to buy it this year.

So I pose the question - Are you planning on buying it? Why or why not...

Yeah man. Best Buy makes this such an easy decision. $60 would be a choice but $35 is no big deal to have the updated game.

I'm pretty sure with the BB deal, it all adds up to 23.80 with the straight trade-in. Don't forget the 20% discount you receive on new games. 20% discount = about 48 bucks -25 bucks= 23.80.

I know I'm trading in another game to make it under 20 bucks total

          Buying. I loved 16, I loved 17, I expect to love 18 too. It's an easy decision.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

I was reluctant to buy it but the best buy deal was too good to pass up

If your a regular here then you already know there are no big CFM improvements for 18. Primary changes went into Longshot, gameplay, and a basketball game. So if CFM is a deal breaker then skip it.

However, if you can get it a good price then it might be worth it. Personally, I had some best buy bucks and paid about $11 out of pocket on a preorder. The roughly $25 trade in deal seems a good a value as well.

                Re: Buy or no? Why?

I'm on the fence as well. A week or so ago, I was definitely leaning towards buying day 1. But recently my hype for game has diminished. Where 2K and Live has took my attention away from Madden. I only buy games digital so I cant take advantage of the deal. For me, i don't like Madden marketing strategy. This isn't really the time to be quiet when 2k and Live are starting to ramp it up.

For me, what hurts Madden is that NFL is a short season compared to NBA and MLB, just over 5 months (Not counting pre-season) to 8 months. So I wouldn't but Madden after Black Friday because it wouldn't be worth it to play it for just 2 months. But what helps Madden for me, I don't plan on buying 2k until Black Friday(not because deal, but for rosters and patches). So I will need something to hold me over

Easy buy. Put in hundreds of hours in each of the last three versions. Like what I have seen in the blogs.

Easy buy. Best Buy made it impossible not to buy it. Graphics update is worth $35.

Day one buy for sure. I've really enjoyed M17 a lot, and like what i've heard so far about 18. A bit more depth to franchise mode would have been great, but i can wait another year if the gameplay has truly taken another step forward.

I am absolutely waiting to see what some OS vets say about this game before buying. My hunch is there are going to be a lot of problems that bug sim type players.

I do not give the madden team the benefit of the doubt.

not a release day buy for me. I'll take a rain check for the time being. I'll eventually get it but there's no telling when.

Same here. I will look for it to be discounted after the initial release before I think about it. I would prefer the bugs get worked out, and most of the patches to hit before buying. My friends and I have a pretty good CFM going now on 17, so we are in no hurry to move over.

Going to wait to play it to decide. Even if the gameplay is much improved if it has the same presentation and animations it could make the game get stale pretty quickly for me, because from what I've seen so far the on field presentation and animations look the exact same. I'm fatigued seeing the same animations and presentation in Madden 17 I can't go another year seeing the same old stuff. I will play a ton of the EA Access (on two accounts) to decide if I will buy or wait for price price drop and 2K 18 and Live 18 to drop.
