The Frostbite Engine - how is it different?

So - having watched some game play, I'm having trouble seeing any difference brought on by the Frostbite Engine.

I'm not a programmer/developer guy, so I admittedly don't know what I should be looking for, so I'm asking:

"What's different with the new version with the Frostbite engine? What should I be looking at to be like, 'Oh - yeah, I see!' ?"

Adembroski, a former developer at Madden, predicted earlier that lighting and sidelines might be different this year.

So far, I see lighting & smoke effects from the pyrotechnics. It doesn't sound like much, but a good lighting system really adds a lot to the graphics. It appears it helps the colors to look less cartoony, as well.

It takes a lot to move to a new engine. Now that they've done so, expect some cool improvements down the line.

As the others have said I wouldn't expect much the first year other than improvements to graphics. I don't even think they've completely moved over to the physics part of the Frostbite engine. Big improvements down the line I expect.

We have some developers that are a part of the community would love to hear their take on this. I imagine it is similar to FIFA last year where the major changes are almost entirely the visuals this year and down the line when they have more time to work on it we'll see changes to physics and mechanics.
