    Re: Sabo's Madden 18 Completed CPU Gameplans Project

    Can anyone help me with this, I tried playing a game I did 32 team control, with coaches.

    I downloaded each perspective teams playbooks but when I use the second controller I need to sign into a new profile. When I do that I lose access to the playbooks downloaded.

    Would I have to just download the other 31 under the second controller profile?

    Thanks!

        I really want to try these, but the process of creating two EA/Origin accounts is making me want to blow my brains out. How do you guys do that???? I'm on my 2nd account but every time I try to log on I get the account invalid message from Origin. I don't understand.

          Not two EA accounts rather profiles, so if using PS4 create another user profile.

            Re: Sabo's Madden 18 Completed CPU Gameplans Project

            After taking a break because of all the problems, decided to pick the game back up after reading some of the reviews.

            Damn shame it takes then 5 months to figure it out but game playing great. Any suggestions for the playbooks?

              I still really like your offensive ones.

              I'm taking a different approach on defense, using yours as a base.

              Rather than try to cram it all in there in the base books, I'm taking a more curated approach that really focuses on the base looks that each team uses. I'm building base 34 and 43 books, as well as variations within each for primarily over/under teams, C3 base teams, C2 base teams, and man-heavy teams.

              I've added more C1 and have generally reduced the number of blitzes, especially DB blitzes. I've removed all the auto-motion blitzes that are dead-giveaways for the HUM player. I've also given consideration to which guys are being placed in MCV for a given team, so 34 teams, for example, with strong rush backers, don't have many plays where a rush backer is manned up on a TE.

              Here's the formula I'm using as a guide:
              Base Looks:
              * 2.5 stars

              Secondary Looks:
              * 2 stars

              Tertiary Looks:
              * 1-1.5 stars

              Signature Blitzes:
              * 1 star

              Blitzes:
              * .5 stars

              I generally have 3-5 signature blitzes, but no more than that.

              If you want to take a look, I think I have a 34 Under book up that I designed with the Rams in mind under DRJMP_ALT, or something very close to that.

              I don't pretend to be a guru with these, but I wanted to take your basic concept and work with it a bit to try to give teams a little more flavor.

              It doesn't take as long as I'd thought to build the books this way. Maybe 30-45 minutes. So I'm building the archetype for each major schematic variant the week before I play a given team. That spreads out the work a little bit.

                I'm also using (and very happy with) the O Books, but have had to resort to using generics for the CPU D...

                For some reason, they often come out in Big Dime / Quarter / Dollar formations when I'm in a run set, etc...

                I'd agree with TM that for expedience sake, scheme based books might be the way to go...

                That way, you can focus on / fine tune a handful, as opposed to the whole 32...

                That being said:

                I've NEVER had any luck trying to customize these things, so take my two cents as an "Armchair Quarterback"...

                Lastly: if you do this again next year, scheme books for O might be the way to go for similar reasons...

                At any rate:

                THANK YOU for making the game play exponentially better AGAIN this year!

                  Great stuff guys. Glad to see your still enjoying the O Books.

                  I really reallyyyy hope I don’t have to do them again next year. I’ve basically given them the formula to make this in their own. Itll be pathetic if they neglect it again.

                  I never truly gave defensive books the same love I did on offense I kihhht mess with them a little bit see what i can come up with.

                    Sabo, if you're on Twitter, you might holler at @Awhite_73 about this.

                    I had a good exchange with him, along with several OS folks, about the urgent need to address game plans for M19.

                    He seemed receptive to the conversation, but he did ask if we could name the top 3 things we would want to see adjusted re: CPU game planning and play calling. I'm not sure how to read that, but it could probably use reiterating that you've established excellent templates for offensive game planning that have saved the game for offline, sim gamers.

                    You might be able to offer some detail to Awhite about how the game plans could be improved, from the star system to the percentage of the total playbook left out by the game plan feature.

                    As for D, I'm not sure why we don't have a down and distance section to match the offense. And I'm not sure if they're aware that certain sections are glitched so that your programming in Nickel automatically gets copied to Trips, etc., etc.

                      I've mentioned it to him before but never got a response.

                      Issues are simple, they only program 20-30 plays per down and distance. It's ridiculous. Would make sense if there was some algo to it that would adjust those 20-30 plays per game depending on what your tendencies/strategy was going in to a game but its not. So, you just get the same crap over and over.

                      He has done a GREAT job with his play designs. Honestly he's on point with his formations assigned to each team as well. I just don't understand why they don't make every play rated. That's essentially all I've done with some adjustments here and there.

                      Why make a playbook with 500 plays if your going to only allow the CPU use less that 50 plays?

                      Just copy my formula and apply it. Nothing special. This is all I would send to him. Tell him play one game with it and see how it goes.

                      1ST DOWN/2ND LONG/2ND MED/2ND SHORT/3RD SHORT/4TH SHORT
                      All 500 plays selected.
                      1 star for all running plays (3 star running for Dallas and Tennesse)
                      1/2 star for all passing plays

                      3RD LONG
                      3 star Shotgun pass plays only
                      removed all PA/short passes
                      1/2 star all Shotgun draw/screen passes
                      removed all run plays except draws

                      3RD MED
                      3 star all Shotgun pass plays only
                      1/2 star all Shotgun run plays & screens

                      4TH LONG/4TH MED
                      3 star Shotgun pass plays
                      removed all PA/Short passes

                      REDZONE/GOAL LINE/GO FOR 2
                      1/2 star two plays from every formation

                        Just put together an updated version of 43Base

                        Base Looks - 2.5 star
                        Secondary formations - 1 Star
                        Blitzes - .5 Star

                        Figured we can test this for a few games. Goal on defense blitzes is 20-40% of the time. Might make one with heavier stared blitzes that we can use for teams without a good DL.

                        If looks good let me know, I’ll put together a 34 defense one too

                              Just played with the 43 BDB and I thought it looked really nice. Great job!

                                43 Base looked good to me...

                                Esp. liked the variety of smarter calls inside the 5, etc...

                                Thanks!
