My initial kicker was rated 59 and he was horrible. I missed a 29 yard fg and hit the kick meter on the nose. LOL

As for the missed extra points, it needs to be fixed. I like the fact that it happens, but when I'm playing the big moments type sim, score a touchdown at the end of the game and the computer misses the extra point three times in one season, that pisses me off.Comment

I must be the minority, or maybe it's a fluke. After six weeks, only 5 kickers have missed an extra point. 3 have missed 1, 1 has missed 2 with 1 blocked and the last one has missed 2 as well. obviously people are seeing issues, but mine seems to be ok.

Same for me. I'm in a solo online CFM, so it's possible they were able to tune the issue on the server side for online, but offline would have to wait for a patch.

Maybe this has been tuned in Online CFM? Some posts seem encouraging. I had noticed when SuperSimming that the kickers miss extra points often, which is a shame because I usually SuperSim XPs because it's a boring play that takes too long relative to the enjoyment on the field. Of course this combined with the bugs in the special teams game in CFM where every game has hurricane-force winds means that you can't "sim special teams" like you had to do last year to get realistic results. Instead, you have to "Sim special teams except for PATs."

You'd first have to assume that any testing actually goes into the game and I seriously doubt that in a mode as forgotten as franchise and a play style ignored as much as sim.

This is my biggest issue with the game.
When Adam Vinatieri is missing extra point attempts, I'm concerned. In close games, I back out of the sim and kick the extra point myself. That's how noticeable and frustrating it is.Comment

The sim engine as a whole is pretty bad. I'm in an 32-user CFM where we sim the games and it's pretty noticeable. Biggest recurring issue has to be how 80%+ of runs go for between 3 and 5 yards. If you super sim, it's a constant 3 yards, 4 yards, 4 yards, 3 yards, 1 yard, etc.
So while they might have a realistic yards per carry number, the distribution of the carries is way off. You'll notice this because many RBs will go full seasons without a 10+ yard carry. You'll notice here that only about 28% of rushing attempts go for between 3 and 5 yards, with 55% being between 0 and 5.
I went through the play logs of players with the lowest per carry averages with more than 200 carries and they all have a handful of carries over 10 yards, and tons over 5.
You mean like this? It's pretty pathetic if you ask me.
78 total yards over 13 straight run plays and only 1m54s transpired. Bush wasn't' tired at all apparently.

They’ve probably pushed an update to the cloud side without informing anyone.
Playing offline, you’re gonna have to wait some more. All is not well even in online franchises though. When you super sim games, kickers are still missing XP’s left and right.

I've read through this thread, but there was a tweet from John White about this issue this past Saturday.
Does anyone report on tweets or look at the tweets of developers. This could have saved some people that can now sleep easier at night.
There is a thread on OS about the extremely low extra point percentage. kickers generally in 70% range
We're aware of this one and already have a fix coming. Thanks for the feedback.
Also found out the schedule will be fixed in an upcoming update.
