Normal Xbox One, Normal PS4, which version?

Which version to get? I have a standard Xbox one and a standard PS4. I have read some of the threads the Madden 18 runs great on a PS4 Pro and some stuttering or lag on normal PS4. Haven't heard much regarding any lag or stuttering on a normal Xbox one. What do you think, buy Madden 18 for Xbox One or PS4?

This is going to be locked. Whichever one you think is better, is better. There's no difference between them.

i've seen tons of people reporting frame drops on regular ps4, nothing about it happening on xbone.

In before closed, but i'll go with PS4 Pro version. 4K, 60 fps. I have it on Xbox One S as well.

If everything else is equal, I'd go with PS4 just for the fact that they have sold many more consoles. There should be more people to play against online.

This isn't a console war question, it's actually a pretty legitimate question. I've played all three versions (if you count early access as playing) and they all play substantially different and I'd say for those two choices go with Xbox One S. The best by far is the Pro version but that should be expected. The X box version is a very distant second and I ran into some serious stutter and framerate issues with the PS4 standard version.

Geez,you guys can't refrain from turning a question clearly stating regular Xbox one or PS4 and somehow throwing the Pro and S into it.

To the OP's question,Xbox is said to not have the framerate issues that the PS4 currently has.

Point being I made a first hand experience comment on the Xbox version vs the PS4 version only that I had played the Xbox One S version (which is as I just pointed out effectively no different) and you had an issue with that. Apparently regurgitating something you heard from others that played provided more insight for the OP.

I said that because there is already thread on the PS4's issues and this sort of thing almost always turns into a "which console is better" war.

Xbox. On PS4 the game has frame rate issues.

This should not be closed. It's open for discussion because I myself am reading post in this forum about the PS4 having framerate issues. This goes beyond "console warz!@#$" garbage and touches on a legit concern.

All EA Sports games have typically had a slight edge on XB1. I noticed it immediately on Madden and NHL (didn't play FIFA on PS4 so I can't speak to that one). Had I not upgraded to the Pro earlier this year there's no doubt I would have gone with the XB1 version. Seriously, there's just more pop in the visuals and it just seems more responsive in general on XB1. I'm the farthest thing from a fanboy, as I love both systems. I'm speaking 100% honestly from my own real-life experiences running everything through a 60" Samsung KS8000.

So I can't give you an honest answer for this year since I traded in my regular PS4 for the Pro but still wanted to offer my findings from the last few years at least.
