    Returning to Madden, have questions

Hello! I've been away from the franchise for quite some timed have decided to pick it up again. As I started my Franchise, I felt things were going smoothly. I then decided before I get too involved I want to make sure I'm up to speed on scouting, drafting, resigning players, signing free agents, etc. With that I started simming games and just doing the Coach/GM type things. I struggled with this a bit which leads to my questions.

    1) Is there a guide that goes deep into these tasks?
    2) How do I know if a player is asking for too much on his contract negotiations without analyzing every player in the leagues contract?
    3) How should I spend my scouting points? Is it worth spending on an early 1st rounder if your doing well and likely draft on backend of draft?
    4) Is there a way to be sure you get better development trait players?

I have more but this just a sample of what I'm looking for. Thank you for your time.

Not really deep. Free agents(resignings) won't take less than the initial fair price presented to you. There is a drafting tool thread that I don't know much about. Read threads from vannwolfhawk and xSABOx on 2 controller benefits for CPU playcalling.

Check the slider forums and look at tdawgs XP slider thread in the slider forums.

      1. There are some guides out there but they really aren't worth it. You are better off either asking your questions here or watching one of the many CFM YouTube channels.

      2. Contracts in Madden are incredibly simplified. Before you offer a contract though you can check what other teams are paying similar players by going to their roster. But honestly, it's really not needed. Every team uses the same basic contracts in Madden and a lot of teams the CPU teams contracts aren't realistic, to begin with.

      3. There are enough scouting points that you can scout nearly half the draft fully. There's also a scouting tool here in one of the threads that will help you to only get good players. I only scout the first 3 rounds, every once else I select at random. I do this so I can actually get some draft busts. The scouting system is so easy I have to handicap myself.
