Game Still Garbage?

Officially returning my copy to Gamestop.

Here's what made me quit:

Playing against Pittsburgh, trailing 33-38 in the 4th. Six minutes left on the clock; our o-line hasn't allowed a single sack all game. First drive:

Sack, sack, safety sack. Replay shows the entire left side of the line just ignoring their assignments and running up field. If I had known of the impending BS, I'd have gotten a replay and posted it.

Score: 40-33 Pittsburgh. They punt with two minutes left and we get the ball, again, inside our own twenty. Second and final drive:

Sack, sack, fumble sack, Shazier scoops and scores. 46-33 is the final score. This time, it's the right side of the line ignoring blocks. I also get called for offensive PI since one of my TEs, who was supposed to be running a corner route, glitches and blocks Bud Dupree ten yards down the field. Not that it mattered. We still lost the game.


It's going to need more than a patch to fix this game. Maybe the devs need to take a year off; sick of this crap happening almost every game I play. All-Pro Difficulty, 12 Min quarters, and offline CFM for those that were wondering.

It is not garbage. Try a lower difficulty. I mean it has its issues, like the sim engine being half broken, but it is not that bad.

I have noticed late in close games my qb holds the ball longer and gets sacked even when I push the button to throw it. However, there is not a better football game on the market. So, here we are.

How does this respond to his point? OL ignoring assignments has been a huge problem in Madden for years. That has nothing to do with difficulty level.

On a related note, run blocking when using a FB is still broken like it always has been. On perfectly set up outside power/sweep plays your pulling OL and FB will set up an NFL Films worthy, picture perfect running lane only to abandon ship and haul *** back inside at the last second to block those ever dangerous cutback pursuers that have no chance of impacting the play, leaving you hung out to dry on the outside. It's like they're saying, "Look at what a beautiful escort we're giving you...PSYCH. Good luck! Lol...!"

I said the game has its issues, but I have played this game one pro and I don't experience nearly as many of these issues(using tweaked sliders granted) as some of the people playing on all pro/all madden do.

These types of incidents always seem to lead to conspiracy theories about come back AI logic. I would recommend holding on until the first patch which should be around mid-September .

It's not the devs. It's the publisher. I guarantee if they released it every other year the legacy issues would be fixed. They have less than 9months to give finished product in time for NFL season. The devs would support it. But unfortunately EA just wants your 60 bucks every year.
