Had to kick a game winning FG, was not ready for that camera

Game was tied at 38 with 5 seconds remaining, called in Tucker to kick the 42 yard field goal.

Was not at all prepared for that camera. For those that don't know, camera moves to almost field level next to kicker, and for bonus the meter disappears on the "downswing" before you press for accuracy.

That would be the Ice the Kicker mechanic. It only triggers in the situation you described, plus the defending team needs to call time out once the offensive team runs the kicking unit out.

I know it was in last year, not sure about the year before.

No way to turn it off either, just so you know. It can be done by the user to the CPU too, although how much more difficult it makes the CPU kick (if at all) is up for debate.

Yeah they did call timeout.

It has been a long time since I was in such a situation though, last time I was I seem to recall the meter having a froze over look. Hell that may have been in NCAA its been so long.

Don't think I would turn it off if the option was present. I like it, just wasn't ready for it. Once the meter disappeared I choked and hit X lol

Doesn't calling time out after they call it fix it? I am pretty sure it used to, anyway.

Or perhaps it was this:
(1) Line up to kick. They call time out.
(2) Pick a regular play. You call time out.
(3) Pick a kick.

Not sure.

I know Armor was trying a FG, he went to the menu screen and the camera went all sorts of colors and he missed the FG.

LOL why can I see someone crushing up some 'shrooms and placing them in his Gatorade Bottle, and then the waterboy running onto the field to give it to him on the Ice Timeout.

Good to know! I remember once in Madden 17 in OT, as soon as the CPU called timeout,I called timeout,then the CPU used up their last timeout. Didn't do away with that angle. I'll try the regular play and timeout and kick method.
