Coach Mode - Player Control (PS4)
So I like to play on 'Coach Mode' in Madden 18. It seems to work pretty good on offense, I get to call the plays and the computer executes them. However, on defense, there is always a player highlighted and most of the time they don't move unless I switch to another player, do I have a setting that I missed? I just want to coach and play-call.Tags: None -

I play on All Pro, and you have to press and hold down R1 for the player to move and engage. I found it works best if you have one of the safeties selected. If, for example, you have a defensive lineman selected, he will move and engage but seems to not use pass rush moves automatically. The safeties seem to be at no such disadvantage in pass defense. I have read in other threads that holding down R1 has no effect in All Madden (selected player doesn't move); and that there no need to use R1 in Rookie setting (but no challenge for coach mode). I was surprised how fast I got used ti holding down R1. Keeps you on your toes since sometimes when the defensive formation changes drastically, a different player will be selected automatically, and you'll have to cycle through the selected player till you get a safety. Again, I found it easy to get used to doing this (as long as I was paying close attention). -

If u leave All Pro in the main menu and use All Madden within ur CFM the L1 works..but u must have All Pro selected in Main Menu..
