High Motor Trait - Should every Defensive Player have it ?

I have a 2003 roster about halfways complete.
I am already playing on All-Madden.
Is it worth giving high Motor to every defensive player ?
I assume Clutch is only for the elite players.

From my understanding of how "High Motor Works", it is used to determine how long until a defensive player will go before giving up on a play. I read this somewhere some time ago. Unfortunately I cannot remember where, so I cannot reference it.

I think it is best suited for high AWR/PRC players and Elite (90+) players. Players like Sean Lee, Luke Kuechely and Richard Sherman.

Good question. See I struggle with this all the time. It's like I want the best play possible in the game and I want to make the players the smartest they can be. But I always feel like if there really not strong in those areas em I taking away from the true identity of the player by giving them something that there really not good at.

I don't think you could go wrong though really by doing that.

If I do trait edits, what do you suggest I edit, specific to each position:

            D-line
            LB
            CB
            Safety

Maybe I should edit one team and play a game in play now or cfm.
Or practice mode ? Wonder if practice mode nerfs the cpu defense play.
I have pass coverage and reaction @ 5.
            Thanks Militicket

For d-line, keep blockshedding and athleticism low. Shouldn’t be too many that can take over games.

For LBs bump up man and zone coverage ratings.

Thx for the insights. What range for man/zone coverage ?

                  Try 60-80s, layered.

Maybe match lbs awareness with these ratings. Maybe too much of a juice. Not sure. In NCAA, Playmakers used this method and worked good. Not the matching wariness, just keeping it 60s-80s.
