    CPU Running game ?

    My big issue with the game is the CPU running game. I can't get the cpu to run the ball at all. I have seen some people state they are seeing good running games from the cpu, but they are playing on all madden. I have always felt like all pro was the best option for the best "ratings matter" gameplay. I have cpu run blocking at 93.

    Now I will say i did do a fantasy draft...I let the cpu pick my players...and I do have a really good D-line. But the cpu should be able to muster more than 0-1.5 ypc.

    How does it feel on all madden, does it feel like the pc "cheats" or gets the "speed boosts" ?

    Any other tips are greatly appreciated.

    Same issue on All-Madden. The problem is Cpu vision is way off this year when it comes to hitting holes and running to open field. Definitely needs tuning

      Someone said in another thread to put CPU run blocking to 65 and HUMAN tackling to 0 and it works great. May be worth a shot.

        You can also try to lower the Offensive holding penalty by 2 pts (CFM) and 5 pts in Play Now. That alone should allow the OL to hold their blocks a tad longer versus trying to hit the 2nd level too early as they do now.

          My problem with the CPU running game is at times the RB makes some jukes and crazy moves at strange times. Had a CPU RB running straight to the endzone, no way any of my defenders catch him if he goes straight in. But all of a sudden, starts juking all over the place with no reason to do so and ends up getting caught. Seen very similar things as to when they have a good chance to make yardage, they just do strange stuff, seems they struggle with making the right moves. Not sure if changing any slider is going to correct that kind of behavior.

            The CPU running game is a game killer for me. I hope EA can tune it to be more realistic. In other words, we don't need to see every running back, even receivers do all sorts of crazy moves. Rarely have I seen them just go straight ahead.

              Mark my words, this is going to be the Madden communities biggest outcry - fix the CPU running game. I bet it will be patched, as there is no way its designed to be this bad by default.

                CPU Running game ?

                After moving the threshold to 25, putting user tackling at 30, cpu run blocking at 80, face mask at 42, and user and cpu fumbles at 55. Bell had over 120 yards on 21 carries. Only thing is I need to lower the user run blocking now since it’s a little too easy. This was on all pro difficulty.

                  So i did what someone suggested and put the CPU run block to 65 and then moved human tackling to 35 and the Seahawks put up a really nice game on the ground and averaged about 4 yards per carry

                    It will get done, but a month wait for the next Title Update is a tough pill to swallow unless they can some how fix it with some server side tuning.

                      I just had a game with cpu run block on 80 and holding down to 45 and the giants had a really good run game against me, despite juking needlessly the holes were SO big they still could run the ball.

                      I gave human run blocking 80 to match and got 4 yards on about 15 carries with Hyde, the big bruiser backs are just worthless, they are as slow as lineman, often slower when the lineman shreds and homes in on them like a missile.

                      At this point i think i might save my couple of hours of access and put the game down till they sort this mess out cos playing the game is just annoying at this point.

                        I appreciate peoples efforts to try and fix this but doesnt this just create hollow numbers for the computer that appear authentic but frustration for the player as the cpu incompetently gets gifted their yards via broken tackles and holes as big as the grand canyon?

                          Well sort of, there is a bit of truth to that but I see a lot more broken tackles in the real NFL than I do in Madden so I think it makes it more realistic. And you really don't see too many huge, gaping holes with that setup I did, although I will say that I only played one game so that's a small sample size.

                          I will say that a nice chunk of yards came when the CPU RB got a long run on me but, again, that is usually how it works in the real NFL, rush for 1 yard, rush for 2 yards, rush for 30 yards, rush for 1 yard..you know?

                          So is it ideal? I'm not sure, I need to play a lot more and see how it goes for the CPU. But I do think it is a nice starting point to get a more realistic game.

                            I'm going to give the tackle sliders a go this evening and see how it plays, you are absolutely right that broke tackles occur in real life a lot more then in madden and it feels like at the moment big backs seemed disadvantaged so this could address that.
