I always do a team from the NFC & AFC.

NFC - Bears (of course)
AFC - Raiders or Steelers

That’s what I always do, I’ll take the bears and hunt down some quarterbacks with Mack, and probably the jets.

I'm going with one of the following:

1. Arizona... Rookie coach and rookie QB out of the gate. Enough said.
2. Miami... Rookie coach and rookie QB (if only somehow Kyler makes it to south beach...).
3. Oakland OOTB, but with rookie created coach (my guy).
4. Oakland... deal #4 (Ferrell), #27 (Abram), one of our 2020 firsts, one of our 2020 thirds, and Derek Carr to Arizona for 2019 #1 overall = rookie created coach / rookie QB (what was his name again?)... because why not re-write a bit of the 2019 off-season.

That's gotta be a fun challenge. Rebuild mode and trying to get back to the top. My brother is usually the Dolphins too. The cap room they'll have along with their draft picks they've saved for next year should put them in great position to make a positive change if they can make the right moves.

You guys have some good ideas. Back up franchises from my online CFM for fun while I wait on the guys to finish their games.

Good point... or I can play god if need be...

As for Tua, I'll need someone to get on a custom class out of the gate.. I have a few killer classes in Madden 19 (can't remember the creator off the top of my head, but I give him total credit for them)

I was just about to roll with Tua in Madden 19, and then the '20 beta dropped...

Yep... I'm a hot mess when it comes to the team selection part of this.

But, with an OOTB / out of the gate approach this time around, I hope to have that part ironed out. I have now until the end of July to lock down my team.

If you’re interested in realism, don’t trade Chris Harris to the Eagles. I’m a big eagles follower and through training camp (and at the end of the year) it’s become clear that the Eagles have 6 corners on the roster who all have upside, are affordable, and are well liked by the staff. Corner isn’t a need for the Eagles.

I'm just renting Madden for about 5 weeks this year, so I might just focus on player CFMs since I won't have time to commit to a team CFM.

Might just focus on 2 player CFMs. I thinking of creating a safety similar to Derwin James and playing on Panthers. Then a Power HB for the Bucs. Only thing was I wish they had other power rb abilities besides just the stiff arm one and Freight train X-Factor. I usuaully play as a pass rusher, but I feel like it will be OP to play as a elite pass rusher.

I plan to do an Eagles franchise. Biggest challenge will be maintaining the high level of performance while also managing the tight salary cap space and eventually replacing a lot of aging stars. As far as specific steps go:

1. Sign Darren Sproles as the punt returner and a rotational back (and get him the 163 yards needed to pass Tim Brown and become 5th on the all time all purpose yards list, not that madden tracks that.)
2. Avonte Maddox will be the star of the defense and play a rotation of nickel, outside corner, and safety in different packages. He’ll be my controlled player on defense.
3. Possibly sign Conner Barwin as a backup d-end.
4. I’ll try to figure out what to do with Jordan Mailata now that Andre Dillard has been drafted. (In the past, I’ve given Mailata superstar development and let him become the starting LT). Now maybe I’ll have him become the swing tackle or maybe try shifting him in to guard (though a 6’8” guard is a bit crazy) with Isaac Seumalo and his versatility becoming the 5 position backup. That would all be in year 2 after Jason Peters retires.
5. Within the first 2 offseasons I’ll likely have to resign or replace many key starters due to contracts or age: Jordan Howard, Nelson Agholor, DeSean Jackson, maybe even Alshon Jeffrey depending on regression, Jason Peters, Jason Kelce, Brandon Graham, Derek Barnett, Zach Brown, Kamu Grugier-Hill, Nigel Bradham, Rodney McLeod, Malcolm Jenkins, Andrew Sendejo, Jalen Mills, Sidney Jones, Rasul Douglas, Jake Elliot, and Cameron Johnston. Yikes.

One of the most frustrating things about doing an eagles CFM is the lack of compensatory picks. That's such a huge part of how they're building that team. You almost have to trade guys that are about to be FA's for their comp pick equivalent just to even it out.
