Checked it out and he does stay on the Falcons roster for me if I go "active roster" instead of "pre season roster."

Question so we can hopefully find a root cause. Cloud or Local save? Which roster did you use? What Platform (PS4, PC, XB1)?

Maybe we can figure this one out since we're seeing different behaviors.

Freeman got cut in mine, PS4, 1.04 Cloud, preseason roster. He completely disappeared, didn't make FA. I'm guessing he gets cut with preseason rosters having more to cut down?

If you wanted to prevent this from happening, could you sign players at the bottom of each position (ones that you don’t mind disappearing) and then change their position to a “full” position in FA (kicker, or punter, for instance) and then release them? Wouldn’t that, in theory, automatically delete them? (Especially since their overall will be extremely low, you could even jack up their age a ton to make double sure).

Do this enough times for every position, and repeat the process every now and then, and you could prevent new cuts from ever being automatically deleted since you’ll just always maintain free space in free agency. It’s kindof like you’re “pruning” free agency.

Anyone know if that would work? I don’t have the game until the 2nd.

yeah that does work also a tip if u are not sure about a guy google his name and check his titter if he has one if he is very active on there its a sign he is retired

I ran 4 quick tests.

I started 2 franchises using "Pre Season Roster" and both times Freeman was cut in the pre-season.

I started 2 other franchises using "Use Active Roster" which I believe is the latest downloaded roster update and the Falcons did not cut Freeman.

How do you select pre-season rosters? Every time I start a cloud CFM my only two options are custom rosters and Real time rosters
