Yes there is plenty of more I WANT, but this is bare minimum that can actually be done in the next 6-12 weeks.

I'd be more excited than I really should be just to get previous teams added to player cards. If it is that simple to implement, there's honestly no excuse it hasn't been added in at some point this generation. Seems like carelessness and oversight, honestly.

Out of curiosity, Sabo, what other aspects of historical stat tracking would be relatively quick/easy to add?

Talk is cheap. It always has been. Therefore, until there is hard evidence that changes and improvements have, in fact, been added as supplemental elements to Madden 21, they still saved me $60.

Again everyone, don't buy into any misdirected claims. Wait patiently and keep the storm active.
Talk is cheap but it's still worth more than silence. I think rather than the focus being around what was said, it needs to be on who said it. It wasn't a community manager, it wasn't a dev, it was the executive producer. That's pretty big and is still going to mean nothing to some people but it should be considered significant because I can't remember something like this happening before. Madden 21 is pretty much a wash at this point and this statement doesn't mean anything will change in the future because we've all heard it before and obviously talk is cheap.

But that's also why it's important to keep things up until and through launch. We just got their curiosity, now it's time to get their attention and (hopefully) keep it. I'll be one of the first ones to say that it's just words and it's just a step and there's a LONG way to go but it's a step nonetheless which is progress however little it may be.

        ROSTER MANAGEMENT
Increased the minimum overall for all positions and tighten the grading system to encourage teams to upgrade the position. Turn the damn player roles back on for QBs so young guys stop getting replaced so fast, shouldnt have to increase Daniel Jones ratings to stop this. Increase the player value of older guys, no reason someone should be ignored because he is old but still has an 85 overall. Increase the offseason bidding by CPU. Also DISABLE showing the user the bid % a player is getting from other teams. Turn up the cap casualties settings for all positions. Increase the active minimum position requirement for CPU so they stop going in to games with 1 healthy HB. Increase trade frequency and team aggressiveness.

        PROGRESSION/REGRESSION/PRODUCTION SYSTEM
Remove XP/scenario non sense and go with RANDOM dice-roll progression based off dev trait that can vary every time u start a new CFM (the tdawg system). The progression is run the VERY first week of preseason and thats it. That way it seems like guy got better over the offseason. Give a player a hidden max overall rating with the dice roll and he has 5 years to reach it. Find a way to turn the training system to speed up the process for a player. So rookie QB with normal dev trait is a 73 overall, he gets rice roll of 81 max rating. He gets ALL of that at start of 2nd year but basically peaks. Another rookie QB is a 73 overall but has a 95 max rating and slow reaches it by his 5th year. To compound on the new progression you then turn conf/morale in to a production rating. Revamping this leads to lower/higher overall and dev trait increases based off statistical performance. With a min/max rating gain of 9 points either way depending on how great/poor season you have. So the helps with guys who have peaked at max overall rating. A reroll is done at the start of offseason week 1 that looks for dev trait increases, which would then give a max overall rating boost to player who upgraded his dev trait heading in to the next progression. Lastly, revamp how regression works, instead of a steep hill decline make it a peak age drop-off. Use the new production system to help offset the effect of a player declining. Obviously dev trait will slow down how much a guy decreases.

        DRAFT/SCOUTING
This is the one that sucks because you cant do much without stripping everything and rebuilding it. So for starters create a section purely for drafting database like you did for xfactors. Put the storylines/tweets/scouting/big board all in one spot and never have it disappear. Revamp the weighted system so that the ratings for the archetypes is more inline with the base roster to keep the balance in tact for suture seasons. Also add in a few anomalies for archetypes that allows for a speedy possession WR or a powerback on the verge of being an elusive type. Stop pigeon holing and limiting the variety of guys. Also tone down the amount of xfactor/superstar to keep the balance for future seasons as well.

this idea maybe not possible right away but so training isnt useless I would remove all gameplan boosts and reward a diff way. If you have a successful training, take the abilities like hot route master/play predictor etc and assign it to a player on the team just for the following week.

Ive tried everything to turn that stuff on but I’ve only found an old team setting randomly available in the roster view screen? And it doesn’t even work right lol

They have an entire section dedicated to memory and history in the files. They can easily put a little section for it

Unacceptable and unbelievable that they should be caught flat footed about the community response. Do they think Franchise is in a good state? So they think Franchise is what we want in the condition it's in? Did they honestly think those patch notes were acceptable to us?

That's a total joke to me that they would act surprised. No, they rolled the dice and thought they could get by with minimal improvements to Franchise mode in an effort to push those efforts to next gen work and they got caught.

              That's my two cents.

Don't fall for this. EA is going to pay lip service, then wait on the sales numbers. If the sales numbers meet expectations, nothing is going to change. EA is like that bad boyfriend who doesn't treat his GF right but when she finally goes to leave he promises to change and be better. Then when she stays, after a short while its back to the same crap.

Also don't get it twisted. That "leak" was 100% planned. It was designed to change the conversation. Politicians do it all the time.

I'm done with Madden until I see results. No more will I fall for promises of improvements in the future

I host our league on daddyleagues.com. There are reports you can get on there for your league that you can’t get in game. They also have a much better game log for individual players. You can see what team the player played on the season before. I can go back and see what my teams players and stats were in previous seasons. Crazy how they can provide that info but the game itself can’t or doesn’t.

They can track all of that because it relies on entire league export information which contains that info and then can be tracked. Unfortunately none of that is coded into that game. This has been one of my desires in Madden for years.

It boggles my mind that they don't just go all in on franchise for a year. Make it awesome. Then you can add small stuff every year and we would be quite happy. Madden 05 through 08 basically had the same franchise and I poured hundreds of hours into it. It was deep enough and fun enough that it sustained almost an entire console generation. Most franchise modes today are mostly small tweaks and features because the groundwork was laid so that the core mode was fun and deep. Madden is neither. All we want is something new to do every year. Some small little hint of immersion. I was really excited for the future of the scenario engine. Having these amazing things play out that mirror what happens in the NFL. Giving the CPU scenarios and then revamping stories to revolve around the scenarios. That's immersion. But in typical EA fashion they add something one year and forget about it the next.

Just eliminate or reduce all the little immersion breakers and it can be a much better game. Our expectations are so low right now. And i don't see that changing anytime soon. We told them what we want. On forums, community days, countless hours of feedback. And to pretend that now they finally hear our feedback is a joke.

Good to hear they heard the outcry of their laziness. Hopefully they start making an effort improving the most important part of the game (to many).

I will not be buying this year (they still probably won't add much). But if they make some real effort by next year (NBA 2Ks MyLeague), then I will buy get that.

Team History on past seasons and beyond as your in tour franchise..Teams names in players cards that the players have played for..Being able to see who won the past Superbowls and present ones in history and on players cards in there award history will add realism and Longevity to get us to M22..

I respectfully disagree that its cool to just come out with a statement after everything thats happened. It means zero without follow through. It will be cool if some major additions take place this cycle as a result. Right now though, with their reputation, it means very little in my opinion.
