that this is directly related to the falcons is already clear to me.
Does the display in the stadium really tell you to #RiseUp when the Falcons are just snapping the ball?

I dont think the "#RISEUP" is telling you to do something like how "Shhhhhhh" is telling you to do something. #RISEUP is just the slogan, its like #KEEPPOUNDING for the Panthers or #WHODAT for the Saints.

Probably just an idle animation around the stadium displays.

Correct, it was first used in 2010 and their team slogan and is splattered throughout the dome.

It is always difficult to see in the broadcast what is to be seen in the stadium. You can see by my location that I have difficulties to see it really live

Collision detection (mainly post play) his horrible in this game.

Players constantly walk completely through player's bodies lying on the field

Players will run up after tackles & clip completely through another player's body

Players roll completely through the legs of lineman who are engaged in a 2 man blocking animation sequence

Physics & Collision detection needs to be overhauled in Madden. It's very inconsistent & totally kills immersion. I really hope they addressed this for Next gen.

The sidelines have been bad in Madden forever. We need the sidelines to look like the cut scenes in Real Time for Next Gen. We need true Living Worlds (Cheerleaders, Mascots, Sideline reporters, etc.)

Presentation as a whole is very lackluster (No in game highlights from games around the league, No weekly wrap up show, No real Halftime show, etc.)

CPU ball carriers don't run to daylight & often run into defenders as opposed to running away from them. They also don't use all moves at their disposal

CPU QB's don't adjust at the link of scrimmage or audible based off your defense

CPU play calling logic still needs work

No Refs on the field definitely hurts immersion

Ball stills goes through stadium walls

I could go on & on but I digress...

The game has it's moments & can be decent at times, but the fact that it's so unpolished & missing so many little details kills immersion & the experience.

Madden needs animations for when the ballcarrier is on the ground but the play is still live. I'm tired of seeing Madden players just run through downed opponents instead of slowing down and actually tagging the downed player to end the play

Players with the avalanche X factor forcing fumbles on almost every hit is absolutely ridiculous.

Is he though cause I can do the same thing.

The people who like the game are shrills who will do and say anything to protect the game.

If the people who want a better game are Karens I guess the people who like the game are right wing conservatives who don’t want anything to change.

Everyone has an opinion and no one is right or wrong.

Has no bearing on what he or I said. As I said he's not wrong. I'll be honest as a sim CFM guy our community has become an embarrassment.

Game has plenty of issues don't get me wrong, but damn, our community is a joke atm.

Penalties:

I’ve played about 10 games now on AM around 10 minutes per quarter with adjuster sliders and all of my game scores have been 30+ per game. The defense honestly isn’t that bad but I can’t get the game to call a single holding or false start penalty. Which would end some drives and make for more punts for kore realistic scores. I’ve even nerfed the slide all the way up for these categories still can’t get any penalties to be called. Only penalty they seek to call often is roughing the passer/kicker as a sim guy because of this the game just doesn’t feel real. I hope a future patch will address this.

You don't understand the point of this thread at all.

It has nothing to do with people who hate the game at all. Most of the people posting their immersion breakers are people who are both playing the game and actually enjoying the game.

It could be a healthy thread if the community allowed it to be.

I most certainly understand what this thread is about, it's a new way for some (not all) to criticize the game. I can understand constructive criticism but if you have read all of these comments and truly believe that it's just about the title of the thread without piling on with the rinse and repeat complaints then that's cool. Some of the comments are mentioning issues that were in 20 and no longer exist in 21.

Really breaks the immersion when the announcers say the same line (something along the line of "not much time left in the half following this kick") for every kickoff in the 2nd quarter.

Game intros are terrible. And no fan interaction during game. Fans still look like cardboard cutouts. Stadium atmosphere is still pretty lame. Lack of a legit broadcast presentation is just inexcusable in 2020.
