That's a great sign. I've been wondering for awhile why CPU seems to have a free pass on throw aways to get them near a WR to avoid a penalty, but we don't have that option.

The CPU did the no penalty throw away on my first play post patch which is a bummer. Only saw it once in the game i played, but it's definitely still in the game.

Same, confirmed still in the game. Would be much less frustrating if the CPU would just get flagged for it like the User does.

Seems the same to me.. funny you mention PI as there was one called when a Lions DB pulled on Ridley in my game.

ZONE STILL SUCKS

sorry i know it cant be perfect but i had a slot WR run a streak and the safety over the top all the sudden left him to go cover the outside Wr on that side.. leaving him wide open... and about 3 passes later... My TE who was playing slot in this formation ran a post route and the safety dropped back to his zone spot and stood there and let the TE keep running his post route as the other safety was already covering someone...

the Safety and Corner on the TE side just did the same ole crap by moving to their spots on the field and stood there like a statue.....

I mean come on.. i have video of the first play i mentioned.. see if i can post it

Great improvement. I was afraid of a possibile overreaction by the devs (crazy reaction times by the DBs that would have taken away all the positives of next gen movement). There's still work to do though.

The mahomes-shootgun pre snap glitch is still in the game. I've literally stopped using the chiefs because of it. It's so frustrating and ugly to watch...

well to me zone is still iffey maybe i need to play it alil more anytime a guy is wide open tho im thinking oh man what player just stopped covering.


do i need to try this game with default sliders right now pre patch the coverage slide and reaction was at 100 to make up for the bad coverage

Idk, I honestly don't get too caught up in how broken or not it is. I've had a safety make a wrong read but doesn't that happen in real life? Even jamal adams makes wrong reads in real life and leaves a guy open so it's just part of football. I play on all madden default everything and it plays fine for me. I get picks, my dbs make plays, ive yet to give up 300 yards passing in a game or 4 tds and that's pretty much common occurrence in today's nfl so I don't really care if zones work perfectly

I need to play more but my first game post patch I put those two sliders back to default 50 on AM and it played great.

The sliders I'm using are in the sliders forum. There are other NG sliders too so see which ones cater to your play style.

I've only played 1 game and it was against Denver who had Kaeopernick. He did an excellent job of avoiding pressure so maybe thats why I didnt see any. He sure seemed to hold on to the ball longer than anything I saw pre patch hence my whopping total of 3 sacks lol.

I also never played against Kap pre patch so maybe that's just how he is.

Not sure how much the throw away happened for you before the patch but for me it had to be at least 10 times a game so even if it's down to once a game I'd be pretty happy.

I need to play more though. It just sucks that its playoff football time and we just got the game playing great. Wish it was this way a month ago, I'm kinda burned out on Madden already.

I'm not saying that as a slight against EA though. Better late then never. I just really hope it's not like years past where the game comes out and something crucial is borked and cripples the game, gets fixed in a patch then somehow it's broken again in the next years iteration.

It's competitive, but not a ton of fun. All Pro isn't even competitive. CPU is just too awful. I'm on Xbox Series X, playing default sliders. What console are you on and what difficulty? Do you use sliders? If so, which ones?

I'd appreciate any help you've got. I'm really trying to get back into the game during the playoffs. I always get extra psyched about football this time of year with the playoffs and the draft and i'd love to find a way to enjoy the game a bit more.

The game seems to be in a good place, finally on NG. I need to play more games, but it feels more like an NFL game thanks to the last patch. Of course sliders are needed for the way I play and want out of the game but it's fun again.

I believe I could definitely finish out my yearly football gaming with M21 in its current state on next gen.

Philly is the next gen movement the same after the patch? That’s the only thing that has kept me interested. Has the speed and pace of the game remained the same?
