Like a 1 we have only had 1 good madden game sense ps2/xbox/gamecube gen and just about ever year there is a game breaking issue. Just about ever year something that was not a issue the year before ends up some how getting worse and some things that have been a issue for like years are still issues. Just about ever year there are things that sounds good on paper but tend to not turn out well.

Definitely buying. Beta was great. Franchise improvements, the promise of scouting, and the beta gameplay sold me on it. Waiting to get the 30 day EA Play membership for the 10hrs and the discount before I pre-order but it's a no brainer for me this year.

I want a good NFL game again but its just be years and years of getting a bad/ok game that I just don't trust them. Maybe with 2k trying to come back things will get better has I think had 2k never went away that madden would be much much better. I have bought most madden games but have skipped the last like 3 years or so and I was just getting tired of getting the game and after like a month or so not playing it because there was to many gameplay problems and felling like I wasted 60 for basically nothing.

I played the beta, as I've done the last few years. I feel better about the game now then after playing the betas in the past. I think FOF was what got me to buy the games before. But besides that, I could only enjoy the game playing online vs. So with franchise and the gameplay tweaks, I'm thinking about buying it again this year.

I'll have to see what FOF looks like this year. I think I really just liked being able to play with a college team. Also I'm thinking there could be another new game mode. I noticed there were two extra empty spaces on the main menu where the game modes are. One spot will definitely be FOF...unless they will resize the layout so there's no empty room there...lol but maybe I'm reading to far into it.

With the new additions to franchise, improved single player AI and features that should make most games feel unique this is easily the most excited I've been about Madden in over a decade. Implementation will be key, if they get that right then who knows how good this game will be.

So how excited is everyone else for this year's Madden?

0 until the Scouting update. Then probably a 7, depending on what’s in the scouting update.

0 out of 10. 2/3 out of 10 if scouting updates look amazing and include things like college stats, awards, and very immersive ways of uncovering hidden gems.

Overall, looks like some ok improvements with franchise but still missing the most basic customization features which greatly improves immersion for me - create a team, updated player creation suite (still the same dumb faces and no The Yard face editor), same lacking equipment options, broken stats engine, presentation is still heavily lacking, free agency is lacking, no playable minicamps and position battles... Would be amazing if there was an NFL franchise mode as in-depth as what NBA2K does...

For now, not buying. However, waiting to see what the 3 franchise updates will be also post launch. First is the scouting overhaul. Curious to see if updates 2 and 3 will be anything significant also?

Mild. I’ll certainly buy this year’s game. My top bugaboos about the game to this point remain unaddressed. At the same time, the new stuff does look promising.

Very interested. The biggest thing tempering my interest is I'll only be able to play with many of the new things on console, which is naturally less accessible w/ 4 kids.

If the PC version sold enough it would get more attention. We're about lucky that it even releases on PC.

it's not about the sales of pc, it's about making consoles have more exclusive things.

same reason gta 5 and rdr2 took so long to come to pc.

in case you didn't notice pc is getting a release still... It's not like it's taking them any less effort to port the ps4/xbone version to pc.

If it was worth upgrading the PC version then EA would do it plain and simple. Madden sells 15+ million units in a year now. The PC version doesn't even sniff 10% of those sales or likely even 5% of those sales. The Madden PC crowd is a very small niche.
