Probably the Falcons - you've got your aging and expensive QB in Ryan, bad cap situation, but a ton of fun players like Kyle Pitts. It'll give me the opportunity to draft a QB and rebuild the defense, possibly implementing a new 3-4 hybrid scheme.

I'll likely do the same thing I normally do. Start with a 32 team franchise to try and get my sliders in order. Basically I'll rotate and play every divisions game from week to week and role a die to decide which team I play as. Start with AFC East, Then North, etc. So at Max 4 games a week. Get to play in a game with every team that way and still have some influence on the league. It also helps me get sliders in place.

Every time I do this it reminds of two things. 1. I wish they either had a setup to easily control all 32 teams at once or just let you play any games you want during the week even if you don't control the team. They used to have this back in the day. 2. Please at some point allow a sim setting to match stats to adjusted minutes. I like to play 8 minute quarters with accelerated clock to get more games in but it messes with stats and I hate having them not match. I love this feature in NBA2k.

Then once I get moving I'll start an Eagles Franchise and if I get bored with those I usually start a Broncos or Chargers because I like the uniforms.

Haven’t played Madden in many MANY years. I’m still on the fence with getting it this year. But if I do it’s Vikings all day every day.

I'm going with my Steelers as usual. This is gonna be the first time going into a franchise where I immediately have rebuilding projects with my team. Between building the o-line back up and finding Ben's successor, I've got a lot of work to do with the Steelers this time around.

I wonder what kind of ranking Haskins will have.

I'll start with a Jags franchise like I normally do, get familiar with the game more etc..

Then usually after awhile I will want to start another franchise with another team, depends on my mood on who. Usually at first it would be a team that I have a chance to make the playoffs with, then towards the end of the football season and once i see what teams in real life had a bad season or are in rebuild mode then I will start doing those teams

I typically like to use teams that have never won a Super Bowl.

So far since M19, I've had CFM's with the Atlanta Falcons, Arizona Cardinals, Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals, Detroit Lions, Cleveland Browns and Los Angeles Chargers. I currently have a CFM with the Houston Texans, so that leaves the 4 teams below on my radar.

Carolina Panthers
Jacksonville Jaguars
Minnesota Vikings
Tennessee Titans

I'm thinking on going with Minnesota but Carolina is also a close 2nd. Maybe just run with the Vikings first then follow up with the Panthers. At some point, I would also like to use my favorite team, the Bills as I didn't win the Super Bowl with them when I used them before. (who knows might run with them on M21 after my Texans franchise since I'm waiting until scouting has been patched in)

I think my main franchise this year will probably be with the Eagles. Trying to figure out if Hurts is the guy or not sounds fun. I'm also distantly related to their Coach, Nick Sirianni, which is pretty cool.

After more thinking.. I grew up as a St. Louis Cardinals football fan as a kid and always hated the Dallas Cowboys. I might just go completely opposite of my thinking and pick the Cowboys, which seems really strange to me but kind of interesting at the same time.

Chargers, Bears, and Colts. Might also have one with the Broncos but trade for Watson because they are so close to being a playoff team.

Going to do at least two franchises, one pre-scouting update and one (or more) afterwards.

Pre-scouting update, I am looking to do an AFC team that is relatively solid. I'll be moving to default AM full-time this year; so I'll want to ease myself in a little. This will be my chance to evaluate all of the new systems in franchise mode and plan strategies for my long-term franchise. Teams I am considering here are the Browns, Chargers, and Broncos.

Once the scouting update drops, I'll look to begin my long-term franchise. I've done AFC teams the last few years as the NFC has been a bit bland to me. This year, that flips a bit as I think several NFC teams have some intriguing situations. Teams I am considering:

- Bears: I'm a Buckeye fan, so using/developing Fields will be cool. The rest of the roster is meh, pieces in place, but not great. Playing in a cold-weather stadium is appealing.

- Rams: A better team, but I have always had a soft spot for Stafford. Clock probably ticking a bit with Donald aging. Probably in a better spot in Madden since Akers will be available at the start. Terrible situation with draft picks and so on; growth will either have to happen from within or via free agency (which is antagonistic to how I build normally)

- Lions: If I do a rebuild, this is the team. Rebuilds are boring storyline-wise, it requires a long-burn to begin building it. One positive is that Goff isn't a terrible "bridge" QB (allowing me to focus on other areas - which is how I build my roster anyways) and there is a non-zero chance he remains the starter long-term.

- Saints: My favorite team IRL. I've always shied-away from them in the past because they were too good. The retirement of Brees leaves a void on the roster. If I did this, I'd go in with no expectations/plan at QB. Winston will have a chance to write his own story in my franchise.

I am currently building a franchise companion spreadsheet if anyone is interested. Great for tracking league history!

My top team choices will be:

1. Vikings - Vikes are my favorite team. Team doesn't have a lot of cap and is somewhat older, but has some nice young pieces to build around.

2. Falcons - Team needs a lot and would be a fun rebuild, and has a new stadium to use.

3. Lions - Full rebuild. No QB or WR to build around. Would be fun taking a team with a terrible history like the Lions and build them into a powerhouse.

I'm leaning towards Detroit love to rebuild that team up to championship caliber

Carolina on the other hand make Sam Darnold the next franchise QB got CMC at RB WR core not looking that great not that I can think of atm

Chicago would be my 3rd option someone new I can play with end the Nagy era start fresh with Fields at QB
