Nope. I've professionally calibrated my C9 and have corrected the HDR tone curve so that's no longer an issue.

So am I correct in saying that even if you have a series X, there is no point in performance mode if your TV doesn't have a HDMI 2.1 port?

Obviously I know mine doesn't, and can't output 120fps. So it's basically doing 60fps and I should probably keep it at quality since it does 4k 60?

I don't see a difference in the 120hz performance mode vs the 60hz performance mode my CX. The main difference is the 60fps cutscenes snd that's on 60hz performance mode also

I’d still do performance for the 60FPS cutscenes. Absolutely beautiful with no dips.

Performance mode will give you locked 60fps on your tv without hdmi 2.1 and 120hz.

If you have a 120hz tv even if not hdmi 2.1 you can still get 120hz at 1080p from the xbox or 1440p if the tv allows it.

4k 120hz with hdr is only if you have a 4k 120hz tv that is hdmi 2.1

HDMI 2.0 can still do 120hz but at 1440p or 1080p from the console

Playing Madden on ps5 at performance mode which is 4k 60fps is not as good as performance on the series x which is 120fps...

Being mainly a PC gamer I get it, but to be honest the jump from 30 fps is alot more dramatic than 60 fps to 120 fps

Still would be nice to get that VRR for PS5

The jump from 30 to 60 feels big because 30fps is awful

Once you play 120fps from 60fps it is a different experience.

Go play 120fps a whole day and switch to 60 on the same game and I would be jarring.

COD Cold war is a perfect example. 60fps in multiplayer feels sluggish compared to 120fps.

I agree, I love playing 21 on the Ps5 with the dual sense and the better sound, but after playing the trial on the series x at 120 FPS, there’s no going back.

Performance all day every day. Got an LG OLED last summer after we had to cancel vacation due to rona. Worth it now!

So if you have a TV that supports 120fps but only at 1440P, the xbox one series X will actually output 1440P so the TV runs at that rate? I only have a PS5 but I have set my PC to output 1440P and run Madden PC at 120fps but it didn't feel particularly smoother than 60FPS to me but I am guessing that is because my TV doesn't support Nvidia Gsync.

One day I might get an XBOX series X but not worth it at this point when I was lucky to get a PS5 at all. Other than the 120fps possibilities for Madden 22, I can't think of any other reason to get an Xbox One Series X when I have a gaming PC for most things MS anyway.

So, I think that FPS and sports games could see the biggest difference in 30fps and 60fps. If it is indeed an option, I will take the hit in resolution to hopefully make the on field action run much smoother.

So I've been playing on quality for PS5, so on performance is the resolution dropping down to 1080?

This is my take on the Series X in performance mode.

                                Gaming on an Oled CX

Mostly I use Dolby Vision 60hz Game Mode *When gaming* as the CX hasn't received the 120hz update for Dolby yet

120hz HDR 10(HGIG) is smoother and more responsive not anything drastic but it is. This would be great to use online.

60hz Dolby Vision is a mix of both. It's smoother with the 60fps replays and still responsive and has better image quality then 120hz HDR 10(It is also a bit darker also). I will be using that when I'm playing single player.
