No, all your points are definitely valid. Its just ironic because the way you feel , is how I felt about The show in regard to you. I was like, im loving this game and then I feel like you'd come and say "this game is done. no need to buy it. they'll never bring y2y saves back, etc." All the while not even having played the next gen version at all. Like Madden has these glitches that you have the utmost confidence they'll fix OR you're more than happy to find a workaround. I am with with you 1000%. But then MLB, you have no confidence they will bring back y2y saves ( based on 0 information), and you gripe about the workarounds you have to do while playing the show.

You literally wrote a dissertation, a eulogy putting MLB The Show "to rest". Maybe you're better with words than most on here.. but that thing was the emotional thing I have read on here lol

Ha ha yeah…..was a semi eulogy at that time.

But one is….I have played MLB 21 plenty enough on next gen as a friend have me his copy (he got a P5 bundle and does not like base all games). Played enough to know I did not think the game took many steps forward (it took good steps fielding wise) and took several steps back.

My opinion of course.

Can anyone confirm the patch size on ps5? I've read in a few places about it being 12gb but my update was only 4gb. More of a curiosity thing than a concern, these things bug me lol

I don't know what to think. I did fresh install after latest patch. Double checked to make sure patch was installed. Restarted franchise on default All Pro. All Pro has always been my level against the CPU. First preseason game I beat the Giants 47-0. Total yards were about 400-100. I completed about 90% of my passes. Not one single penalty was called. It was not like this before this patch. Games were close, comp % were about right, I was getting some penalties. This is weird! Oh this was on PS5 btw.

What's the version # for this patch on the Xbox X/S? I see no indication a patch downloaded nor is one waiting in my que. There are other patches in there so I am no sure why this one would download in the background and the others didn't.

Their priorities are so hilarious, but they gonna keep a close eye on pass coverage for us so that's a plus smdh. I wonder if Sony is still giving refunds without question.

The Packers throwbacks are gonna be worn at some point this season. And they look really good. Plus throwbacks are pretty good for keeping things feeling fresh since you can change up uniforms every once in a while for some variety.

This kinda thought process makes me laugh. The art team that takes care of the uniform updates and such definitely isn't the same team working on pass coverage and such. The thought that separate teams can't work on multiple parts of a game is pretty short sighted.

Also there's a big group of people that do old time rosters and use the old uniforms in their franchise so it is a pretty big things for some people. Just because it isn't for you doesn't mean it isn't a good change

Madden 21 I stopped playing in January, hated it, felt the same.

There are some things I wish were added to 22, but so far, the game

feels fresher to me. I didn't post much in here after January last year

because I didn't play the game, ie I didn't come in here with an axe to grind

in every thread. (considered trolling)

Someone from EA just posted what will get developers attention in other forms of social media, we all know they don't participate here anymore because some people couldn't resist the urge to not be adults:

Community members like Bengal, Mills, etc. are incredibly valuable because:
1. Are VERY honest with their feedback
2. Don't make baseless assumptions (ask Qs!)
3. Don't personally attack developers
4. Play the game (a lot)

No their priorities were criticized like the art team fixing the uniform had any effect at all on pass coverage.

You say they should be criticized for this release but what are you looking for? For me this is the best on the field football game I've played probably ever. In 11 days they put out two patches tweaking issues that were brought up. I keep seeing pass coverage as an issue but for me I haven't seen this issue. There are times my players get beat and there are times they are on point.

If you're looking for perfection you are never ever gonna find it. The Show has been the pinnacle of sports games for years and get there's still people everywhere that complain. At some point you gotta wonder if maybe this isn't the game for you.

This is an example of an uninformed statement. I'm highlighting this not to pick on, embarrass, or attack someone, but because it really needs to be brought to light that someone working on jerseys has no control or ability to work on an issue such as coverage. That's the art department.

If you're someone, such as ahovestol, who is upset about what was released, I understand. However, I also challenge you to stop for a second, let the anger subside, and understand that different roles in a team perform different functions.

It's incredibly important, as a human being, to be able to stop yourself and think objectively.
