    I don't meaningfully disagree.

I think Tiburon would do well, actually, to cater more of the focus of their feature development efforts to their power users who would then put in more good organic word-of-mouth out about the game. Not only stuff like more up-to-date playbooks and game strategy, more focused game-day presentation, a continued focus on modernizing Franchise, and general authenticity additions and changes, but also a lot of Ultimate Team is kinda messy and dated as well. I can't remember the last time that mode got a meaningful refresh (as opposed to some new iterative new feature like customizable chemistries, strategy items, or whatever little trinkets they come out with).

EA's presentation package arguably works for the atmosphere they want to create and the emotional response they want from the user, particularly those in the competitive arena.

For me, however, it veers too far away from authentic, broadcast-style presentation to keep me immersed. Bare in mind, I'm more of a general manager, cpu vs cpu type user, so presentation takes on more significance when I "play" thus the shortcomings are more glaring.

Here is a link to a comparison of NFL2k4, NFL2k5 and Madden 21 GameDay openings:

From M21 to M22, you can see an attempt by EA to incorporate some of the elements that made NFL2k4/2k5 's presentation so special for their time. But there remains a stubborn reluctance by EA to fully embrace true broadcast-style presentation that continues to detract from the overall experience of playing Madden.

The less, the better. I always skip because I just want to get in the damn game.

It's not terrible but the sideline interactions need work. My favorite is when my quarterback is giving my defensive end pass rushing tips.

The pre-snap offensive and defensive huddles are what crack me up. You'd swear those guys hadn't seen each other in years since the previous play.

Me being a sim guy and love watching football on sunday , the presentation in Madden this year is a little better than last year to me. I just wish EA can take it to the next step for the PS5 and Xbox Series.

I honestly even miss the break from the huddle and walk up to the line and always hated they took that out to cater to the "hurry-up-always-in-a-rush online crowd".
The Show does this very well. Lots of options for presentation and how frequently the game cuts away

Does anyone remember which football game it was where sometimes after a game on franchise (or season mode) they would say there was a nail biter in another game being played for the week and it let you time in to see the final play of a one score game to see who wins?

The cutscenes, celebrations after every first down annoy the heck out of me. I can't hit the skip button fast enough. They'd be more tolerable if the play selection screen immediately popped up like it did in the 16-bit era.
After more than eight years on here, I finally figured out how to edit my time zone!

There is room for growth here. There are some fool elements here but some stale ones as well.

Personally I am kind of glad they took out the presentation part that showed the full offense and defense. If you were using a team's playbook that was a 3-4 playbook but you ran a 4-3, it would present your defense there as a 3-4 instead of what your defensive playbook said. I would rather that particular thing be gone than kill immersion. But if it was redone correctly, I would not complain.
