Re: New Madden NFL 22 Patch Available, Nothing For Franchise Mode Yet - Patch Notes
As to the content of the update - why the heck was Aaron Jones demoted? He scored double-digit touchdowns and was the sixth-highest graded running back on Pro Football Focus in 2021. His usage was down as A.J. Dillon took on more carries, sure, but his averages per touch were still good, and lower usage shouldn't result in his abilities going away anyway. That demotion in particular feels arbitrary at best, unfair at worst.
Meanwhile, Ezekiel Elliott should have never been X-Factor in the first place lol.Comment

Ignoring the obvious elephant in the room for just a second: it is a little bit baffling to me on a technical level that changing front-end Superstar X-Factor player and ability assignments requires a title update. Feels like that data should just live happily in the roster file? Obviously it doesn't. That feels weird to me.
Are they still doing the Charles Davis/Brandon Gaudin updated commentary? I've had mine turned off for months, but it would explain at least some of the size of the update. Also, the SSXF players have the art assets that appear in the menus and the commentary in SuperStar KO mode that is unique to them.Bills, Sabres, Illini, Cubs, basically any team that abuses its fanbase and I'm there.Comment

Why even call this a "patch." This seems more like a tuning update or something.
Even I'm getting annoyed and I am a go with the flow kind of person.Comment

Is this a patch or a roster update?Comment

Re: New Madden NFL 22 Patch Available, Nothing For Franchise Mode Yet - Patch Notes
One of the two is, sure, but it is my understanding that the ratings team is separate from the team that decides Superstar X-Factor assignments and ability allocations. So that question of bias wouldn't be relevant anyway.Comment

Makes no sense why they would have two separate teams working on ratings and Superstar abilities.Comment

Although I feel like marketing has some veto power on ratings for players, IMO they have a lot more influence on SS/XF abilities.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Re: New Madden NFL 22 Patch Has Arrived, Still No Franchise Mode Update - Patch Notes
This is worthless for Franchise Mode because…
1) the Trait Regression feature will altar some of these by season end
2) the mode does not allow more than (2) SS Slots so some multi-slot players on this Front End roster will lose those additional slots
Folk better really keep this experience in mind when the Beta comes around to hype M23 up.
Live Service can not work with Franchise because all features work together to give tangible functionality to the other.
So the Scouting Update is useless without the other Franchise components that needs to be included with it.
Delayed injections make the whole mode incomplete.Last edited by khaliib; 02-03-2022, 07:42 PM.Comment

So sick of this crap, is it hard to ask for a complete Franchise mode and actually get one or whatComment

ANY company (not just EA) will maximize their profit when consumers are willing to pay for said service.
Like it or not, this is where we are because people are willing to pay more.
We're at a point where we just need to decide whether or not we want to keep buying the game or not.
Time to get over coming to a website and hoping that complaining will make a change. Either decide to buy the game or not buy the game.Comment

- DLC to edit Relocation Uniforms
- DLC to edit/add designed Relocation Stadiums
- DLC to altar some under-the-hood gameplay aspects that PC users can do
- DLC to edit Coaches/Coord & their individual Gameplay/Team Building Profiles
There’s so many things like this I have no problem paying additional dollars for to be used within my FranchiseComment

And right on cue, the same group of folks do nothing but whine and complain while continuing to play a game that they dislike. EA will never be able to satisfy most of you. I am enjoying madden and any update is welcome. I can't imagine paying for a product that I have disdain for. I get it feedback in necessary sometimes and this is a great place to discuss video games but it seems like some folks just live for a patch announcement so they can go on and on with nothing positive to say.
