This is a low hanging fruit update before they drop a bigger one in the next few weeks.

If it improves the ever so problematic pass blocking that has plagued this series, that's hardly low hanging fruit.

I’m definitely on the side of them taking their time and finding a happy medium. I’m not trying to spam my theory at all but I’m really feeling it has legs to it and that’s probably why INTs weren’t addressed in this patch.
I agree that it is a smart move by EA to bide their time on significant tuning updates - it has burned the community nearly every year when EA jumps the gun.

Tuning this runs a significant risk of making passing (regardless of passing style used) too easy. That's a FAR worse situation.

They need to give players a chance to, ya know, go into practice mode....

LOL…I’m sure the horrid pass protection did not help the INT issue so I’m definitely with you on this one.

Agreed 1000%. I ran across two guys online that had obviously mastered the free form passing and there was nothing, and I mean NOTHING I could do. That is what actually got my wheels turning and when I told myself this will be the next complaint and EA will find themselves in a lose/lose situation. I think starting off with the pass protection was a good step.

The important words here are “this is a planned update”, so it would only contain very specific fixes identified prior to launch and would be unlikely to address any player feedback. This is basically the “Day 1” update that we didn’t actually get IMO.

There is no way possible the INT issue was unknown prior to launch. They didn’t need player feedback for that 😅😅😅

Hopefully they don't make too many changes to gameplay. Work to the oline is definitely something they should work especially with the interior line with regard to pass rush but other than that I like the way all madden is playing.

Well... that's a start, fixing the offensive line issue on pass protection was a major problem. The only issue is that I've seen the problem occur on interior linemen. So we'll see.

I'll wait until the next update though. This alone doesn't fix what my issues are by and large.

I just want the interception slider to have the sensitivity that it always had till this year.

I am fine with coverage and defense in general. What I and many others are spinning our wheels about is the ridiculous success ratio of DB’s and LB’s catching everything like they are Jerry Rice.

That is the real issue. We need to see drops….because in reality DB’s and LB’s
For the most part drop a ton of potential interceptions in real life. They don’t have this kind of success ratio.

And the slider has zero effect this year where as in years past it resulted in a lot for drops.

Give me back the ability to tune the game myself. Fix the slider.

Shouldn't take a title update to fix cloud franchises server issues. And not even mentioning that they're working on it? This launch that was all about "Polish" is very frustrating.

The only thing I checked post updating my PS5 version was if some of the jerseys/numbers were still blob looking. Nothing has changed, and you think they would have noticed that pre-release. The other thing that bugs me bad is that throwing styles are broken in previewing when editing players, and the ones that work don't on the field when you assign a different one to your player.

Have to agree. I chose Slinger 2 for a create a player, but in game he throws like Drew Brees with a high over the top release. I lucked up because I always liked that look, too.

I think it’s pretty obvious they don’t actually do much testing. It’s just the way a lot of the gaming industry operates. So many games release with obvious in your face issues that are easily discovered, or even in overall messy bug filled states (CyberPunk and Avengers). They were probably only aware of it days before release due to early access players reporting it.

People who buy on day 1, play the early free trial, pay extra for early access, etc, are the group really doing the testing. They aren’t investing extra resources to properly clean up a game before the community gets ahold of it, when they can just have you do it for free or even pay extra for the privilege, and then they fix it later.

For those who want to keep the day one version of your game, transfer it over to an external HDD before you download the update in case this patch makes the game worse.
