Yes it’s been the same for several years now. After selecting a custom playbook with a second controller then moving it back to the middle, the 2nd team never shows up in game. That’s pretty crap, coz being able to select custom playbooks for each team would be a game changer!

I have XSX so i'm not sure if it works on the P5. But on Xbox it works whether you create a second profile or not.

It does work for changing to the default playbooks though.
Yeah, I wish EA didn't bog down franchise mode by making it so complicated to do simple things. EA treats franchise mode as if it needs special keys to unlock certain things and only they can give you permission to use them, which they refuse to. So you have to find workarounds to satisfy your needs.
In play now you have the freedom switch sides back and forth if you choose, give the CPU created playbooks with no corruption, decide the weather, open or close the roof, play a full presentation style or quick presentation, change the time, even pick in which stadium you play. Open franchise and the doors get locked up.
If i'm playing an offline franchise release the restrictions and allow me to play my game in peace.

Another thing that would help offline is the cool down system that can be used online only. I was so excited with this feature and it finally came and was online only smh. By that feature plays would get locked for a certain amount of plays. Help big time for all the vertical plays.

After going through all the books with some of the tools we have on PC to see the under the hood percentages and based on my experience with modding the playbooks, these handful of team books should give the AI their best chance at some decent r/p ratio.

            Lions
            Steelers
            Texans
            Titans
            Seahawks
            Saints
            Commanders
            Panthers
            Jets
            Colts
            Bears

Thanks for the input. What playbook do you recommend per team? I'm guessing 49ers - Jets playbook?

Ya that would make most sense. Similar to Colts = Jags type of thing

Downside is the teams with unique books like 49ers, Ravens, Rams, Chiefs etc have horrible percentages and none of the above books really match them

This Texans/Titans game was pretty amazing!

                  - Had more penalties than usual
                  - Heavy dose of run game
                  - Texans used Pierce and Burkhead while Titans used Henry exclusively.
                  - Henry was Henry
                  - Momentum shifted reasonably throughout game
                  - Completion %'s in line with real-life stats for both Dobbs and Mills.

                  Pretty satisfied with this one!

                    - Loved the running game in this one! Chubb is the man!
                    - Had to manually bench Watson for Brissett in the third quarter. Hopefully, in M24 the CPU makes these decisions. instead.
                    - Rodgers finished with 65.7% completion rate, close to perfectly aligned with his real-life reg season average (65.3%)
                    - Love the fact that Christian Watson (4.37 40 yd dash) hawked A.J. Green III (4.62) on what would have been a pick six @ 23:40/part 2.
                    - Good game flow overall. Momentum swings were believable.

                    Good stuff!
