Confused - Title not Roster?

Lolol. Why would they not release the roster update alongside the title update? Is this normal? I thought it was coming today…?

Probably bc the title update had to be submitted days ago to consoles like any patch, but they waited to the last possible second with the rosters to make them as accurate as possible since transactions continued all week.

Two completely separate things. I wish we had the roster already too, but it's different teams handling these things.

Man you are way too optimistic! I am mostly joking but historically we wait for the rosters to drop on opening week and they still have all kinds of mistakes in them. Players on wrong teams, players missing, etc. I hope you are right but if I was a betting man, I'd wager to say the rosters they release are going to still need a lot of work to get everyone where they should be if you want to start an accurate franchise. Just saying.......

If I'm a dev and clearly know the ratings of DBs, LBs and such workaround we've all been talking about, then I absolutely do take my time fixing that for this roster update along with new player likenesses and possibly jersey warping.

Not saying they'll be perfect. But game patches are submitted way ahead of time (like a week) before consoles ok them and push them live. If they put the roster as part of the title update, a week early, the rosters would be all kinds of messed up because that was around cut down day.

OK. I see what you are saying about locking the rosters to when the title update gets submitted would make them far more out of date. I've just seen too many times where users have updated rosters on Madden Share that are really accurate and then EA releases their official rosters and there as some transactions that are over a week old that aren't in their update. It makes me want to start with a user created roster. However, there are always some players in the official rosters that have images and maybe their names get announced whereas rosters with CAP's do not. We shall see.
