Nah I can't give them credit till we see what actually is in this patch.

But this being released on the 13th rather than 17th/18th certainly seems like a good sign.

I wonder if the patch could drop overnight at some point? Has that happened? I don't ever really pay attention to the times they usually drop.

I could be 100% wrong, but I want to say Madden patches release late morning, at least going by Central time? I feel like I remember more than once seeing people post about patches going live and Gridiron Notes posted simultaneously around 10-11am on release days.

Again, I could be wrong because I also don't pay that much attention to it - I'm just trying to think back.

and regardless of what the claim is fixed, it will take at least maybe a week or so (or some of us going through a franchise sim for 3+ years) to see if it actually is working or not.


I'm hoping someone else can do the work, but if not I plan to probably finish a 3 year sim by a week or so from now

There is a server downtime at 6:00 ET, so that's probably the patch being applied to the hosts.

If they don't fix the save corruption, they can fix whatever they want in Franchise and it won't matter. 5 years into your chise and its a ticking time bomb. Can't stress this enough.

No disrespect but how many people do you think get through more than 1 year of franchise? I hope it gets fixed but there are a lot of high priority issues.

Why should any of that matter?

They advertised 30 years, why shouldn't I be able to do that regardless if others don't? With that logic then the draft issue isn't a pressing issue if people are not doing multiple years.

Not sure whats more pressing than 2 literal game stopping issues?

Irrespective of this; the highest priority for any game fixes (across all genres) should ALWAYS be issues causing crashes or software instability. That HAS to be the number 1 priority...period...end of story. Games should not crash or have file corruption issues - this is pretty much the only type of issue that is literally game-breaking. The mode is designed to operate for 30 seasons - it should function as intended without crashes or file corruption for that timeframe.

Everything else is medium-to-low priority compared to that.

Question:

Why not just set everything to auto, run a quick sim to the draft where the issue lies, draft random players and trade and try to trigger the bug? Repeat a few times and you will have your answers in a few hours instead of spending countless hours testing just to become frustrated...

I did this when I came up with a solution for the save file glitch and tested my theory in a few hours to see if it was stable.

If someone plays 2 games a week year round, plus playoffs as an extra, that can get through 5 seasons in a year. If they don't move on to the next game, that can be more.

Some people also spend a few seasons drafting, trading, and signing building a universe of their own before they play. Me personally, I hate present day rosters in any game so I create my own universe by simming into the future then playing that universe.

And in the end, stability is a high priority. Certainly should be above many other things. Regardless of if/when it happens.

I did 5 years in a month or so.

When I play, I play at least half the games for a single season. I do BOOM's scouting tutorial so that adds time.

I may not get to 30 years, but I do get to 15-20 before I start over with a new team. So we are talking 3 months or more. But if I ever do want to do 30, I should be able too.

That’s fair. I guess I’m looking for more game play fixes that would perhaps lead me to play more franchise.

The interceptions issue is more of an issue for me. The cpu threw 4 picks by half last night. Just not realistic
