I can back this up/add validity in reference. Way back when Zemeckis did his Tales From The Crypt episode that had the digital Humphrey Bogart, this whole legal scenario first truly got rolling. It's gotten pretty crazy ever since. There was a bit of a hoax story involving Bruce Willis a few weeks ago - giving complete digital likeness away to an AI company. Not fully true or just not fully legalized per the sale yet for Bruce, it's on the horizon to being a next big thing in entertainment. Said actors have to get on the front end of it all, is really just what needs to happen, so that they have royalties secured to their "estate." An example would be the Old Spice commercial with the CGI Dolph Lundgren, as he was on the front end of that entirely.

This is crazy. There needs to be more updates than that, even if they don't do week by week. I mean to have an update for week 1 but no update until Week 10 is ridiculous. I'd do Week 1, Week 4, Week 9(the week after the trade deadline), Week 12(Thanksgiving Live Update), Week 18, then each week of the playoffs through the Super Bowl.

I feel like this is just EA once again using the one step forward, two steps back approach. Coming from Madden 20, I'm really enjoying Madden 23 and as a Franchise player this is disappointing news.

This feels really unethical. There's 2-3 features I can think of in either Madden of FIFA this year that either didn't materialize or were falsely marketed.

EA really has awful product management. In saying that, there's a clear disconnect between the ops teams/developers and marketing (or just management in general). The more this continues, they're seriously going to open themselves up to litigation (class action suits), etc.

Madden 23 on last gen still touts the new passing mechanics and field sense in the main menu. Madden is a liar.

It just shows a lack of attention to detail when some of the stuff is so obvious.

My money is that it won't. They likely meant week 10 of 2023. They'll still be trying to get the patch out for franchise desyncs and the draft glitch by then too

They also said in the last title update that they fixed the franchise glitches and we saw how that worked out. They can confirm whatever they want but until we see it actually working i have 0 trust in anything this studio says.

Yeah I’m very excited about tomo but also quite worried it won’t actually work. I’m hoping they’ve been in the lab all year working on this and not just slapping it together.

I'm expecting a patch along with the Week 10 start but it's always a guessing game with Madden.

The NHL team released patch notes a day before the patch along with notes on a 2nd patch due out a week or 2 later.

The madden team could take some notes from the nhl guys. The biggest problem EA-madden has is they never communicate things. Outside of that small list from a couple weeks ago, we have no idea what could be in the next patch. Hopefully they stick to their schedule with the live update, but at this point who knows.
