Do you have expo enabled on your ram? Is it CL16?

I don't have any issues with the following:

    Gigabyte Gaming OC 4090
    7950x3D
    64 GB DDR5 6000mhz CL 30
    Western Digital SN850X 4TB

Granted that's all essentially as good as it gets right now, I easily surpass 200 FPS.

I wouldn't think it'd be that much of a drop off from the 4090 to 4070ti, but then again it may be with how Nvidia structured their releases this cycle.

If you're able, maybe offload the 4070ti for a 7900xtx as they tend to punch above their price point.

If I had to guess though I'd say you're CPU limited. 5600x-->5800x3d
I also have an editing PC that is Intel based with an Intel 13700k, 64gb ddr5 6000 and an Nvidia FE 4070 and it seems to be able to sustain 60fps all the time.

Well if that's the case it's likely your CPU, your ram or a combination of both. Ryzen is notoriously sensitive to the ram you give it.

How are you playing with unlock FPS as it stutters like crazy for me on my asus strix 4090 and i9 10850k.. I have to lock it to 120fps and it is all smooth

Oh, I lock it to 120 fps, vsync off. I'm just saying I can easily hit 220+ with regularity with no cap.

120 fps cap with VRR enabled I have no tearing or dips.

Ahhh ok makes sense. I hope they fix the uncapped FPS stutters. Last year it was not like that. I hate leaving so much FPS head room on my 4k 240 Samsung monitor locking at 120

4k...240???? Wow, I don't think my 4090 could push Madden in 4k anywhere near 240fps

Everything I've read says that the 3200 DDR is the best pair to the Ryzen 5600x. I upgraded from a 2700X in January cause the 2700 was a bottleneck for the 4070ti. It made a huge difference. I am just shocked because I can get some damn good frame rates on most game in 4k near ultra settings. Madden in the past has never been all that taxing but I guess the next gen is. It still needs optimizing in my opinion. I think having a ripping top-end CPU and GPU just covers up some of the shortcomings of the code. For me it's just in the cut scenes and transitions that I see drops into the high 40s frequently. The beta was the same but way worse so they've already improved it.

I was on the fence and going to upgrade my board, CPU and RAM with a deal from Microcenter but then I was like, do I really want to spend $499 just to gain 10-12 fps in Madden when I could just run it at 1440P or maybe tone down some graphics? Heck, I can just live with the 47fps from time to time.....for free!!!

It's been cool chatting hardware though! Oh, by the way, when I upgraded from 2700x to 5600x I lost 2 cores, but gained clock speed increase which netted me about 40% improvement in FPS and it only cost me about $125....so I think I can just deal with it or game on my editing machine!

Another poster posted these somewhere. Can't remember who but all credit to him.

I used these for the first time and here is the carry breakdown for both teams...

Doubt I can run it at 240 at 4k max settings but I know for a fact I can run it much higher than 120
