I get it the animation is cool the first time you see it. Then you see it 3-4 times a game the coolness factor goes away. Then the coolness factor really goes away when you realize that tackle isn't even legal and would draw a 15 yard penalty.

I went into my second season with a rookie scrambler with 91 speed so I started using Baltimore's playbook. Just about every time I get an unsuccessful option, the defensive end is doing that body slam tackle to the quarterback. I no longer do those plays lol

Completely over done, and like was mentioned was okay the first couple of times, but now seeing it several times a game is ridiculous...I will say the main times I see it is on Kickoffs and punt returns, it can be pretty much guaranteed that animation will trigger at those times.

I honestly really don’t see it that often. I’d argue that if you see it a lot from the CPU it indicates you’re losing plays badly, and vice versa, if you’re getting it a lot on D it means you’re on top of things. Imagine yourself playing out of your mind on defense and you get this animation three plays in a row. It’s not a bad thing, it’s reflecting how good you’re playing.

Every animation is tiered like this imo. Wonky garbage happens when you’re getting smoked, cool stuff happens when you’re in total control. Been trying to argue this for years tbh.

If you drop the tackle slider below 40 you won't see it anymore. You'll see more broken tackles though, so it's a trade off.

While on the topic of tackles, what is up with so many tackles not registering any sound? This has been a problem for a few Maddens now but seems worse this year. Just dead silence when laying someone out sometimes, no sound from pads banging or anything.

They went through all the hard work and trouble to bring a new tackle animation to the franchise after so many years and you WILL see it multiple times every single game.

Oh that tackle, I really like seeing that tackle. And that is definitely not the German Suplex in the first video, as such I don't see them as the same.

That's not a 15-yard penalty if that's the animation, unless maybe it's to the QB in the pocket. The play isn't called dead and it's not a German suplex to a player so the defenseless aspect isn't a thing.

You're correct. The animations trigger based on a players ratings and the spread between the players when they interact. Play someone like Bosa or Garrett against a low rated OT, and you'll see the animation where they swat their hands away and destroy the block over and over. Drop to a moderately rated DE like Greg Rousseau and you won't any more.
