In all honesty, I just got a new TV. I want to create a reason to play Madden on it [emoji1787]

Does the sim engine sim games based upon your clock settings? I run 15 minute quarters with 11 second run off. I can expect a huge difference if the engine runs off your set clock settings, which my salvage playing this game till college drops.

The sim engine is completely independent of your clock settings. And the sim engine is short on total plays. That is why when you sim a season the rest of the league barely has over 500 pass attempts. When I analyzed the sim stats each team was roughly 100 pass attempts short of real life numbers.

With 15/11 as your clock settings you are probably running too many plays compared to the sim engine. Your injury slider matters as well because the clock incorrectly stops for every injury. I use 10 min qtrs/20 accel/50 injury and I'm always middle of the pack in total plays compared to the sim stats.

I'll give this a shot as well.

I'm just trying to find a decent balance, and have my efforts show.

This is where I wish EA implemented what 2k basketball has in their games where no matter what quarter length you play on at the end of the game it automatically sims their stats for a full game to match the other teams

As far as the run/pass ratio issue, to me that is damn near a game killer, as far as I'm concerned if I'm going to play an NFL "simulation" then 15 min is a must, and that is what I use...to me using anything different completely destroys the whole "simulation" aspect.

This is an issue that EA needs to fix..point blank. I should be able to play the correct quarter length in a football game and not have to resort to lowering that length to compensate for EA's shortcomings in the sim engine.

I don't disagree at all with any of your complaints here. In a perfect world, these wouldn't be issues. But this is the hand we've been dealt. I was just saying how I handle it.

I definitely understand your frustration. I pretty much strictly play coach mode, so I can sympathize with the lack of attention they've given the bugs. Coach mode receives no love from EA at all lol.

Let me ask this. If I keep my 15/11 time settings, and change them after I play to 10/20 or 11/15, while I sim, would that balance out then?

User settings do not impact the simmed games if that's what you are asking about.

For those frustrated with this game, all I'm gone say one time, is Madden 21 ps5 version or if you on Xbox get the next gen version period.

This is not spam I'm being 100% honest, it's fun, everything works as it should. Outside of the broken message you get on the main screen menu, it literally blows madden 24 out of the water.

There are rosters to download and Draft Classes.

What classic rosters are available for 21, if you know?

I have the game. Haven't played it for a few years. Super frustrated with Madden 24. I won't be able to play my PS5 until later tonight, but if you don't mind, refresh my memory on Madden 21. I don't remember playing it all that much, but I'm willing to go back and give it a shot.

I have a great alltime roster I found, the stats are a little high, but it's nothing a little editing can't fix, and tbh the players that has those high 99s I'd say definitely deserves it.

There is also Percussions 1994. I've seen a 2005 and 2006. Rosters as well.

There is a great 2021 roster with full equipment edits and Draft Classes up to 2026.

There's even a 2024 roster but I belive it's from the opening weeks.

I went with 2021, one because it's Brady and gronks last ride on the field, and all the rookies come in on there teams, Trevor Lawrence etc.

There's definitely plenty on there to do over madden 24.

I'll load up what I have under my psn when I'm back home.

That's the beauty of it, it totally caught me off guard, there's a guy here on OS, that does some roster work and slider work, when he did work his stuff really stood out, like you knew it was detailed and could count on his word and work.

So I installed this game and and I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

I believe this is the game the devs was preparing itially, some of it went over to madden 22, but for some reason when it got to 23 the code changed and it was really noticeable, obviously in 24 it just is not good, way to much broken stuff imo.

Pressure from the defensive line is real! In madden 24, you don't see much pressure and when you do it's really wonky like.

You gone know you need to make a read and get that ball out in 21. 100% I'm a Browns fan, with the sliders I have from matt10 Miles Garrett had 3 sacks in a 13 minute game. In madden 24 I had 0 and no pressure hardly.

The cpu on Defense can be stifling, they make jumps to break up the route, there's a glitch on madden 24, where if you bump down man coverage on a wr, even if you play over the top adjustment, when you hike the ball the wr and db interaction is crazy, the wr will bump the db causing him to stumble when this happens, you throw and it's almost always a 1 play touchdown.

Zone play seems pretty accurate, what do you do when trying to pass on zone? Find the holes right? If nothing is there, you either throw the ball away or use your legs... well in 21 you will see plenty of this, the cpu WILL take what is given... no lie.

The Devs knew about this glitch in 24 but I guess they either forgot and couldn't get to it, but it was not fixed last i played it in 24.

In madden 21 when they line up with you that tight, you are covered they ain't slipping when it's dry..

The cpu attacks downfield, you will see qb's like Lamar, Jason hurts, will make you pay without a qb spy on the field and contain.

The gameplay is there, the graphics imo are just as clean if not even cleaner because you don't have all that extra all over your screen.

The presentation is on point, the home field advantage is built in an works where it's not overwhelming and over powered, the stat next gen sequence is a nice touch, when a great play happens you'll know.

The cuts are deep, gameplay is fast, not this slowed down stuff in madden 24. The gameplay in 24 has its moments and it can be good, thing is, it's not fluent. The flaws out weigh what little good it does have, and I just got tired of trying to fix it.

From playbooks, fatigue not working, they claim its fixed now but I don't know, I'm not installing that game again, im extremely happy with 21.

I use madden 20 for my classic rosters from the 80s through 2000s and madden 21 will be my current Era teams.

When I'm back home just do a search on my psn later today, and I'll load up what I have.

Another thing even if you play on Default allpro you see a difference vs all madden.

I'll edit this post when I upload all I have.

                        Take care

                          Take care

Thank you for the detailed explanation. I really appreciate it. For whatever reason, I don't think I played Madden 21 very much the year it came out. If I'm not mistaken, I got a PS5 in February 2021 and picked up the game late. Not long after that MLB was released so I spent most of my time playing it. I've been reading some people talk about Madden 22 being much better than 23 or 24, so I was considering going back to it. Don't remember much about it either. LOL After reading your post, I think I will give 21 a shot first and go from there.

The problem is I'm a 47 year old dad with 4 kids...two boys ages 16 and 13, and two girls ages 3 and 22 months. With the boys being involved in sports, myself in coaching, and then the girls still being so young, my gaming time is extremely limited! So I often have big plans to play at night, then never get around to it. I have to be extra careful with what I choose to play when I do. I never know when my next chance to play will come. LOL

Np at all man, congratulations on the family sounds like your definitely busy.

With what I have uploaded for 21, you should be good to go and I think you'll enjoy it. I to have heard some things about 22, but at the time I didn't have the ps5 version of 22 only the ps4 version, and it seemed fun but watered down from what little I remembered.

I'm tempted to check out 22 just to see, I might pick up the ea trial thing for 4.99, just to see the ps5 version, and how it compares.
I stream a variety of video games for relaxation and fun.

This is why I’m currently playing Madden 12 on my Xbox 360. I just got done playing 12 seasons in NCAA 14 on my 360. It’s 2024 and these new games just don’t compare. Why buy Madden when it gets released if it takes them so long to fix things? I don’t recall ever waiting for updates in 2012.

Thank you man. Let me know what you find out about 22 if you do. Like I said, I'm hoping to get some time to play tonight, but we will see. LOL
